Provider Custom TOU
All providers · Tariff periods · Configuration index
Choose this provider during initial setup, or open Settings > Devices & Services > PowerSync > Configure > Electricity pricing & provider to change its settings. Use the written plan for your site and account; examples are not a substitute for your contract.
Use this provider when the retailer is not listed and you need to enter your own import/export rates. It stores the tariff used by price sensors, planning and supported clients. Battery connection/control is configured separately.
Follow Tariffs and time periods for flat rates, TOU periods, applicable days, seasons, default rates and editing/removal. Keep real import and feed-in rates; use optimizer restrictions for dispatch preferences rather than changing tariff truth.
For non-Tesla systems the tariff is normally an internal PowerSync price source; it does not itself program battery charge/discharge timers. For Tesla, an available stored Tesla tariff can remain the normal source depending on provider mode. Check the actual tariff schedule and connection method before assuming the custom entry overrides hardware pricing.
Ordinary 0-rate periods are not quota tracking. Use a supported provider's dedicated quota model when the contract has an allowance. The current HA custom-tariff wizard does not expose a Daily Import Allowance toggle. Client/API quota features and measured Import kWh automations are separate surfaces; do not treat them as fields in this wizard. See Controls and automations.
From v2.12.1452, the integration heading stays PowerSync Custom TOU after a restart or reload. Updating and reloading corrects older PowerSync Amber headings for this provider. The heading does not verify which tariff is active on the battery.
From v2.12.1449, saving a switch from a dynamic provider to Other / Custom TOU also saves the new provider selection. If an earlier attempt kept using Octopus or another former provider, update PowerSync, reopen Configure > Electricity pricing & provider, select Other / Custom TOU, and finish saving the tariff again. Removing and reinstalling the integration is not required. This changes PowerSync's pricing provider; it does not prove a new tariff was applied to the battery or resolve a separate battery hold.
Check the current import/export price and tariff schedule for the selected site and local time. On a menu-entered edit, saving provider settings can finish the flow directly; specialist settings remain under Advanced settings. Token/account success, an imported schedule and a hardware command are different outcomes. If rates or the site are wrong, reopen pricing rather than changing battery connection settings.
