Mobile App
The iOS/Android app is a client for this Home Assistant integration. PowerSync Cloud is a separate backend/product. Confirm which backend and HA server the app is using before changing settings.
In the app, open Settings > Home Assistant to configure the HA URL, token and instance. The URL must be reachable from the phone on the network you intend to use. Keep the HA token private; it is not a retailer API token or a Cloud account password. Demo mode uses simulated data and does not prove a live HA connection.
| Mobile entry | Purpose | HA reference |
|---|---|---|
| Settings > Battery Setup | Local Control, gateway connection and battery-health features where supported | Battery connections |
| Settings > Smart Optimization | Client optimizer settings exposed by the connected integration | Optimization settings |
| Settings > EV Charging | Smart Schedule, Solar Surplus, Scheduled Charging, Price-Level Charging, Home Power Setup and Your EVs & Chargers | EV charging |
| Settings > Electricity Provider | Client provider settings; layout differs from HA Configure | Electricity providers |
| Settings > Weather & Solar Forecast | Client forecast inputs | Weather and solar forecasts |
| Automations | PowerSync conditions/actions | Controls and automations |
These navigation entries were checked against the client source used for this documentation. Actual controls still depend on integration version, advertised capabilities, selected route and account readiness. The HA Configure reference is authoritative for the HA form; it does not imply every field has an identical mobile location. Use HA configuration for a field not verified in your client.
Inspect the active server/site and fresh telemetry before interpreting a chart or control status. Forecasts and the Action Plan are proposed future behaviour. Recorded current-day prices, the TOU model and future price forecasts are separate; see Dashboard Setup. A successful app response or optimistic control state still needs device readback and measured power to establish the physical result.

PowerSync sends push notifications to the mobile app for key events:
| Event | Notification |
|---|---|
| AEMO spike start | Battery discharging during price spike |
| AEMO spike end | Normal operation restored |
| Automation action failure | Service call failed (e.g. charger unreachable) |
| Force mode timeout | Force charge/discharge timer expired |
Notifications require the mobile app to be connected and push notifications enabled.
The mobile custom-tariff screen includes Daily Import Allowance, its window/kWh cap, Price after allowance, and the option to stop discretionary battery grid charging at the allowance. This client feature is not a toggle in the current HA custom-tariff wizard. The same screen distinguishes an allowance from an Import kWh automation that stops EV charging or restores another mode at a measured threshold. Configure it only when the written account terms and integration capability match.
