Provider CovaU
Select CovaU SolarMax during setup or under Configure > Electricity pricing & provider. This provider models a specific plan snapshot and its import/export allowances; it is not an unlimited zero-price window.
Enter the postcode and choose the offer matching the distributor, state and effective account terms. Public plan discovery is available for supported SolarMax offers; an offer name alone does not prove it matches your account. The flow validates source/snapshot identity and can request a manual snapshot when discovery cannot provide the required plan.
The snapshot records ordinary import periods, supply charge, base FiT, free-import window/cap and premium-export window/cap/total rate. Enter exact values from the written plan on the manual path. A wrong distributor, unsupported/incomplete structure or mismatched snapshot must be corrected rather than bypassed with another customer's plan.
The initial manual fallback is a fixed SolarMax template: overnight import 00:00–06:00, peak import 15:00–21:00, day import in the other hours, free-import allowance 11:00–14:00 and premium-export allowance 18:00–21:00. The HA form edits its rates/caps, not arbitrary window times. If your contract differs, do not force it into that template; use a matching validated snapshot through the supported options path or resolve the plan support first.
Select the cumulative import/export energy sensors requested by the form. Use site energy counters in supported Wh/kWh/MWh units, not live W/kW power sensors. The quota ledger uses measured settlement data and its confidence; a missing or uncertain allowance state is not proof of remaining free import or premium export capacity.
Ordinary base FiT remains separate from a capped premium top-up. Household use consumes site import allowances too. Do not replace the ordinary tariff with a permanently free rate after selecting an allowance model.
Confirm the chosen plan/distributor/effective terms, local windows, current tariff price and allowance status. Update the exact snapshot when the account terms change. A saved snapshot does not establish a settled retailer bill or physical dispatch; review Smart Optimization and the battery route separately.
The tables use the current form labels and help text. They list the conditional field union: a field can be hidden for a different battery, provider, route or available integration. The instructions above explain those conditions. Existing saved/discovered values take precedence over fresh fallbacks. Rate units follow the provider; check the displayed currency/energy unit.
