Network Export Limits
Open Configure > Advanced settings > Network export limits / Flexible Exports. This release reads an export envelope already enforced by approved site equipment. Its available operating modes are Off and Monitoring; active envelope enforcement is not released. A saved older active value is treated as monitoring and a submitted active choice is rejected.
Select the Certified export-limit entity and, where available, the envelope status, expiry and schedule entities. Select Connection-point grid power entity for the total point-of-connection reading, with the requested sign/units. Envelope scope, phase count, fallback and margin fields describe the site arrangement; their presence does not enable dormant active control.
PowerSync is not a CSIP-AUS client and does not replace, disable or override the site's certified network controls. Its optimizer site export cap is a separate planning setting. Confirm the actual approved limiter, current envelope value, status/freshness/expiry and point-of-connection power before relying on the monitoring display.
Save the configuration and inspect status after reload. Unknown/stale envelope data is not proof of permission to export at an old limit. Changing the PowerSync monitor does not reconfigure the external network controller.
The tables use the current form labels and help text. They list the conditional field union: a field can be hidden for a different battery, provider, route or available integration. The instructions above explain those conditions. Existing saved/discovered values take precedence over fresh fallbacks. Rate units follow the provider; check the displayed currency/energy unit.
| Field | Meaning / input | Fallback / limits |
|---|---|---|
| Operating mode | Off ignores the source. Monitoring displays the envelope and suppresses intentional PowerSync export. Active control will be enabled only in a later release after the required SAPN site soak. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Certified export-limit entity | Select the original read-only W or kW entity exposed by certified inverter, gateway, or vendor equipment. Templates and PowerSync entities cannot arm Active mode. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Envelope status entity | Optional source status entity. Invalid, unavailable, expired, error, or offline states make the live envelope invalid. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Envelope expiry entity | Optional timestamp entity for the live envelope's expiry. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Envelope schedule entity | Optional entity with a schedule attribute containing start, end, and limit_w entries. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Connection-point grid power entity | Current aggregate grid/PCC power in W or kW, using positive import and negative export. Required for Active mode. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Envelope scope | Use aggregate connection-point scope for active multi-phase sites. Per-phase envelopes remain monitoring-only. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
| Site-approved fallback limit | Fixed export limit in watts from the connection agreement, used when the live envelope is stale or invalid. Zero is valid. | 0–100000 W; step 50 |
| Additional safety margin | Extra headroom below the effective limit in watts. PowerSync always enforces at least 250 W or 5%, whichever is larger. | 250–10000 W; step 50 |
| Site phase count | Number of phases at the connection point. Multi-phase Active mode requires an aggregate source. | 1–3; step 1 |
| All exporting DER is covered by the approved limiter | Confirm only when every battery and inverter capable of export is included in the approved whole-site control path. | Saved/detected value or the form’s shown fallback |
