Atlassian Teamwork Graph

Work context is scattered across tickets, documents, and external tools, and AI assistants need that context to be useful. Atlassian Teamwork Graph is Atlassian's unified data layer that collects this information and links it together.

What It Is

The developer documentation describes Teamwork Graph as a data layer that pulls teamwork data from apps such as Jira and Confluence, plus external tools. Its data model has object types, which categorize data instances by their properties, and relationships, which link objects such as documents to work items.

Developer Access

The Teamwork Graph API exposes unified data and relationships through a single GraphQL endpoint, so developers need not combine several app-specific APIs. Connectors bring data from external apps into the graph, and the documentation states that an app can either call the API or provide a connector, but not both at the same time.

The Atlassian product page lists the Atlassian MCP, described as bringing Atlassian into AI tools, with compatibility noted for Anthropic, Google, GitHub, and OpenAI. The developer documentation page reviewed does not mention MCP.

Limits of Available Evidence

The developer documentation shows Cloud and Data Center sections and a last-updated date of 2025-11-19. Availability by plan or region and pricing were not stated on the pages reviewed.

Radar Assessment

Atlassian Teamwork Graph is placed in Assess within Platforms. It is a hosted foundational service that could serve as the context source for AI tooling in Atlassian-centered organizations, but available documentation is thin on availability and cost, and no first-person use has been confirmed.
