Smelt Deeds Settings

kahlen-tech edited this page Oct 4, 2026 · 2 revisions

Description

Turns your metal deeds into ingots. For each metal you have two or more deeds of, it finds an empty crucible, redeems the deeds into the crucible and smelts them with smelt. If you carry a deed packet, it then makes a deed of the new ingot.

Only metals you have at least two deeds of are smelted. A metal with a single deed is left alone.
Alloys (steel, bronze, pewter and brass) are skipped unless you name one, for example ;smelt-deeds bronze.
The smelting itself is done by ;smelt, so your smelt settings (stirring rod, toolbelt, crafting container) apply.

Where to smelt

hometown: Crossing

If you're already standing at an empty crucible with no one else around (group members are fine), it smelts there. Otherwise it walks to the nearest empty crucible in your hometown.

These towns have crucibles it knows about: Crossing, Leth Deriel, Volcano, Muspar'i, Riverhaven, Langenfirth, Therenborough, Shard, Shadow's Reach, Ratha, Aesry, Hibarnhvidar, Fang Cove, Mer'Kresh and Boar Clan.

  • It only uses hometown; force_crafting_town isn't read.
  • If your hometown isn't on that list and you aren't already at an empty crucible, it says it failed to find an empty room, then carries on where you are, with no crucible. Start it at a crucible instead.
  • If every crucible is busy, it keeps searching until one is free.

Tools

adjustable_tongs: false

Before each metal, it checks that you have a rod, bellows and a shovel (or tongs, with adjustable_tongs: true). If one is missing, it says "A TOOL WAS MISSING. FIND IT AND RESTART" and stops. See smelt for setting up the tools themselves.

Deed packet

There's no setting for this. If you have a packet when an ingot is done, it gets the packet, PUSHes the ingot with it to make a deed, and stows the deed and the packet. Without a packet, it stows the ingot.

What a run does

There are no settings for these; this is what to expect.

  1. Runs INV SEARCH DEED. If you have no deeds, it says "***NO DEEDS FOUND TO SMELT***" and stops.
  2. Empties your hands.
  3. Counts your deeds by metal from that search. It keeps the metals with two or more deeds, and only the one you named, if you named one.
  4. For each of those metals:
    1. Checks your tools and finds an empty crucible.
    2. Gets each deed of that metal and TAPs it to get the metal. If the metal lands at your feet instead of in your hands, it picks it up. If the game won't give you the metal for a deed, that deed is put back and skipped. The metal goes into the crucible.
    3. Runs ;smelt.
    4. Deeds or stows the ingot (see Deed packet).

If the crucible gets too full ("at once would be dangerous"), it says "***CRUCIBLE IS FULL***", puts away what's in your hands, and smelts what's already in. The metal it put away is no longer a deed. Any deeds of that metal it hadn't reached are left for your next run.

It counts deeds from the last 100 lines of game output. With 100 or so deeds, some may be missed; run it again.
