License in Plain Language

License: Dual License Agreement v4.9 (Geneva Safeguard)
For: Non-lawyers, students, researchers, anyone who wants to know their rights

What This Is

This is the license explained in plain English. The legal document is in LICENSE; this is what it means for you.

What You Can Do

If You're a Natural Person (Individual)

Below the micro-commerce threshold:

  • ✅ Read the corpus — free, forever
  • ✅ Study the corpus — free, forever
  • ✅ Share the corpus — free, forever
  • ✅ Teach the corpus — free, forever
  • ✅ Use the corpus for personal projects — free, forever
  • ✅ Create derivative works — free, forever

Above the micro-commerce threshold (for 2+ consecutive years):

  • ✅ All of the above
  • ✅ Commercial use — with proper attribution and revenue sharing
  • ✅ Build products — with proper attribution and revenue sharing
  • ✅ Sell services — with proper attribution and revenue sharing

If You're an Organization

  • ✅ Internal use — for research, development, education
  • ✅ Products — with proper attribution and revenue sharing
  • ✅ Services — with proper attribution and revenue sharing

What You Cannot Do

The Big Three

  1. You cannot claim you wrote it — attribution is required
  2. You cannot suppress it — the corpus must remain open
  3. You cannot use it for harm — Human Harm clause applies

The Little Person Provision

The license protects the little person. If you're a natural person below the micro-commerce threshold, you have more freedom than a corporation. This is by design — the Abundance Loop feeds back to the people.

Anti-Shell Architecture (Section 2.3)

You cannot create a shell entity to avoid the commercial license. The license looks at substance, not form:

  • If you control it, it's you
  • If it does what you do, it's you
  • If it benefits you, it's you

The Corporate Teeth

Commercial entities that violate the license face:

  • Immediate termination of rights
  • Revenue sharing enforcement
  • Legal action for damages
  • Public disclosure of violations

The Abundance Loop (Section 4.4)

The Abundance Loop is the economic architecture of phi-physics. It works like this:

People's Fund
    ↓
Funded by commercial revenue
    ↓
Funds research and education
    ↓
Benefits the people
    ↓
More people contribute
    ↓
More revenue to People's Fund
    ↓
(Loop continues)

How It Works

  1. Commercial entities pay a percentage of revenue to the People's Fund
  2. The People's Fund distributes to researchers, educators, and students
  3. The recipients create more knowledge and products
  4. The cycle creates abundance, not scarcity

Why It Exists

The licensor's goal is to release the cage from the people. The Abundance Loop ensures that:

  • Commercial success feeds back to the community
  • Knowledge remains open and accessible
  • The field benefits from its own growth

The Micro-Commerce Allowance (Section 3.1)

What is micro-commerce?

  • Natural persons earning below the commercial threshold
  • Small projects, side hustles, personal use
  • Educational and research use

What does it mean?

  • No commercial license required
  • No revenue sharing required
  • No reporting required
  • Just use it freely

The threshold:

  • Defined in Section 3.1 of the license
  • Indexed to inflation
  • Reviewed annually

The Two-Year Consecutive Trigger (Section 3.1.6)

What is it? After two consecutive years above the micro-commerce threshold, a natural person transitions to commercial entity status.

Why it exists? To prevent permanent "micro-commerce" status for successful individuals. If you're consistently earning from the corpus, you're a commercial entity.

How it works:

  • Year 1: Below threshold → micro-commerce
  • Year 2: Above threshold → still micro-commerce
  • Year 3: Above threshold → commercial entity

The Gross Negligence Carve-Out (Section 27.3.0A)

What is it? The license sets a floor, not a ceiling. Gross negligence — willful, reckless, or intentional harm — is not protected by the license.

What it means:

  • The license protects good-faith use
  • The license does not protect harmful use
  • You cannot hide behind the license to cause harm
  • The Geneva Safeguard applies to everyone

The Human Harm + Geneva Language

Every section of the license now carries:

  • Human Harm clause: The license cannot be used to harm humans
  • Geneva language: The license respects international humanitarian law

This is not optional — it's woven into the fabric of the license.
