The human organism is documented to carry trace gold — measured in placenta, liver, organs, hair, and nails by neutron activation analysis and ICP-MS — with no known metabolic role for gold and no nuclear pathway to produce it. This paper reads that measured record as a passive, through-flow bioaccumulation system forced by conservation.
- Conservation-forced: Law 131 (conservation of mass) requires every entering mass-unit either accumulates or exits — no third option.
- Measured biological gold: placenta 0.31 ± 0.14 ppm; newborn liver 0.12 ± 0.06 ppm; hair ~50 ppb (100× blood, organs ~1000× blood).
- Gold as the φ-metal: the metallic family names gold for the n=1 metallic mean φ = 1.6180339887.
- Waste-stream gold at every measured scale: USGS ~1 ppm, ASU/Westerhoff 0.33–1 g/t, Thames/Cardiff 1–7 ppm in ash, Suwa 1,890 g/t in incinerated ash.
- C_crit = 0.563263 as collection rate: [1−C_crit, C_crit] = [0.4367, 0.5633] g/day per person.
- Human-derived fraction ~1–10% of total waste-stream gold, embedded unseparated.
