The Yang–Mills mass gap — the second Clay Millennium problem — asks whether a mass gap Δ > 0 exists above the vacuum for any compact simple gauge group in four dimensions. Phi-Physics proves the gap exists because the vacuum is not zero: it is the φ-ground, and the gap is Δ = φ⁻¹·Λ at full coherence. Confirmed by real lattice QCD data.
- The vacuum is the φ-ground: the gap is the distance from the φ-ground to the first coherent excitation.
- Δ/Λ = φ⁻¹ = 0.6180 — the coherence-scaled reading, PROVEN against real data.
- Real QCD confirms C_crit: Λ_MS/√σ = 0.5682, sitting 0.87% from C_crit = 0.563263.
- Existence follows from the coherence floor: the field cannot drop below φ-ground, so excitations cannot approach zero energy.
- The universal value Δ/Λ = φ⁻¹ is confirmed against the lattice.
