Hesitation Is Weakness

Lets the Tactician spend an action to take an enemy's skipped turn as a bonus activation.

How It Works

When an NPC or enemy combatant skips (passes) their turn, DSCT posts a chat offer to all Tacticians in the combat. The offer contains a Take Turn button.

The Tactician clicks Take Turn (costs 1 Insight). DSCT then:

  1. Activates the Tactician as the current combatant.
  2. Reduces the Tactician's initiative for the next round (per Draw Steel rules).

Pending offers expire at the end of the round without requiring any action.

Requirements

  • The Tactician actor must have the Hesitation Is Weakness ability on their sheet for the automation to activate.
  • The ability must be enabled in Ability Automation settings.

Enable Hesitation Is Weakness Toggle the automation on/off

Notes

  • Only one Tactician at a time can respond to a given offer. The first click wins.
  • Hesitation Is Weakness automation requires the Ability Automation master toggle to be enabled.
  • Chain-triggering (one HIW causing another) is prevented automatically.
