Settings Overview

DSCT settings are organized into eight submenus, each covering one feature area. Open them via Settings > Module Settings > Draw Steel: Combat Tools and then clicking the Configure button for each submenu.

A Compatibility submenu appears automatically when a supported third-party module is installed.

Forced Movement

Controls the forced movement engine and the Wall Builder.

Key options: enable/disable the system, animation step delay, fall damage cap, Director-only execution lock, corner-cutting mode, Stability resistance, and crooked movement. The Wall Builder is a nested submenu within this menu.

See Forced Movement for feature details.

Conditions

Controls the Damage & Conditions panel, Frightened, Taunted, Bleeding, and the Grab system.

Key options: master toggle for all conditions, Bleeding mode (auto/manual), Illegal Movement behavior (block or allow), and grab size-check overrides.

See Conditions for feature details.

Death Tracker

Controls death animations, the Raise Dead UI, Power Word: Kill, and object destruction.

Key options: master toggle, death animation duration, skull tile icon, auto-confirm single revival, auto-assign most-damaged minions, defeated token visibility, fall confirmation prompt, and orphaned combatant cleanup.

See Death Tracker for feature details.

Squad Labels

Controls automatic color-coded group labels on combat start.

Key options: enable auto-relabeling, "I Am the Captain Now" auto-assignment, and the label reset trigger.

See Squad Labels for feature details.

Triggered Actions

Controls the triggered action resource tracker.

Key options: enable the system, display scope (all combatants / heroes only / NPCs only / targeted), and auto vs. manual tracking mode.

See Triggered Actions for feature details.

Ability Automation

Controls Judgement, Mark, Aid Attack, I'm No Threat, Hesitation Is Weakness, Crossfade, and Purifying Fire. Also controls the roll dialog pill UI, target picker, and ability range enforcement.

Key options: individual toggles for each automation, bane lock duration, auto-confirm target selection, roll dialog pills, and range enforcement with Director bypass.

See Ability Automation for feature details.

Home Rules

Optional rules and table preferences that do not map to a single feature.

Key options: fall damage cap, corpse collision (defeated tokens block FM), crooked push/pull, corner-cutting, and ignore-ally movement (heroes don't block each other).

Module Button Visibility

Choose which toolbar buttons appear in the Combat Toolbox sidebar group.

Options: Grab Panel, Forced Movement, Teleport, Damage & Conditions, Wall Builder (Director only). Each has a per-button visibility setting.

Compatibility

Appears automatically when a supported third-party module is detected. Contains integration-specific options, including:

  • Draw Steel: Target Damage: quick FM button placement, player undo access.
  • Health Estimate: controls how Health Estimate displays on minion tokens in active combat squads (hide label, squad count, or vanilla).
  • DS Quick Strike: compatibility toggle.
