Vertical Movement and Falls
Forced movement can include a vertical (elevation) component. When a token lands at a lower elevation than where it started, fall damage is calculated and applied automatically.

In the Forced Movement Panel, enable the Vertical Distance checkbox. A number field appears:
- Enter a positive number to move the target up.
- Enter a negative number to move the target down.
- Leave the field blank to match the horizontal distance automatically.
- For Pull only, positive values move the target down (toward the source when the source is below).
When you click Execute with a vertical distance set, a popup appears to let you confirm the exact value before the move runs.
Fall damage triggers when a token ends a move at a lower elevation than where it started (or is pushed off a surface mid-path).
How it works:
- The distance fallen (in grid squares) is calculated.
- The target's Agility score is subtracted from that distance.
- Damage is applied for the remaining squares, up to the configured cap.
- If Fall Reduction was set in the panel, those squares are subtracted before Agility.
Fall Confirmation: If this setting is on (default), a dialog appears before applying fall damage so the GM can review the situation and cancel if needed (for example, the creature has a fly speed). Disable the setting in Module Settings to skip the confirmation.
The Fall Reduction field in the panel adds bonus squares to the fall reduction calculation. Use this for abilities that specify "reduce fall damage by X squares."
Check No Fall Damage in the panel to skip damage entirely for this move regardless of elevation change.
| Setting | Default | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Fall Damage Cap | 50 | Maximum damage from a single fall |
| Fall Confirmation | On | Show a confirmation dialog before applying fall damage |
