Type: custom hybrid (two media), tested in production (pass)
- Medium phrase: "A cinematic photograph of a handcrafted miniature diorama, widescreen 16:9, in two distinct materials. The character is a needle-felted wool figure: dense soft fibre with visible loose wool hairs and a fuzzy edge. Everything else is a layered cut-paper set: flat sheets of thick coloured card cut into crisp clean shapes and stacked in layers with small gaps between them, so each layer casts a thin shadow on the one behind." Video anchor: "Handcrafted stop-motion animation: a needle-felted wool character moving in small stepped stop-motion movements, inside a layered cut-paper diorama whose crisp flat layers stay fixed, felted and cut, not rendered."
- Character design: as the Wool preset (felted body, wool eyes with black pupils, stray fibres catching light); "no paper touches it".
- Materials / rendering: the set as the Paper Cut preset: progressively paler card layers for depth, scalloped foliage edges, a cut-out moon, punched-hole stars, thin shadows between layers. Fuzzy wool edge against hard paper edge is the contrast to protect.
- Light: a cool key as if from the paper moon with a soft warm front fill to lift the wool.
- Motion: head turn, blink as two stepped frames, wings lifting as soft felted shapes; every paper layer fixed; camera locked. Titles as cut card glued to the back layer, lifted away.
- Stability line: "Strictly needle-felted wool for the [character] and crisp flat cut card for everything else; stepped stop-motion cadence, wool fibres visible at the character's edge throughout, paper edges crisp and layers fixed, no fibre in the set and no paper on the character, consistent character design."
- Guards: no paper on the character, no wool or fibre in the set, no painted or printed detail, no glossy plastic, no real forest, no photorealism, no 3D rendering, no live-action look, no moving paper layers.
- Known failures: none in the test take (owl in a paper night forest). Both halves are existing presets, so the vocabulary for each layer already exists.
