Type: custom, tested in production (run; grade pending)
- Medium phrase: "A wall mosaic in the Byzantine manner, widescreen 16:9, photographed flat and straight on, the mosaic filling the whole frame." Video anchor: "Mosaic animation: a Byzantine wall mosaic of small glass and stone tesserae in pale grout, where the figure moves by its tiles shifting together in slow stepped movements while every tile keeps its size, shape and place in the grid, tiled, not rendered."
- Character design: every shape built from thumbnail-sized square and roughly cut tesserae set in narrow grout lines, each tile a slightly different tone, rows following the contours; eyes as a white tile with a black centre; features as two or three tiles.
- Materials / rendering: coloured glass and stone, gold-leaf glass tiles set at faintly different angles for the background, a tiled border, slightly uneven surface with chipped corners. Nothing painted.
- Light: even soft front light, small highlights on individual glass tiles, tiny shadows in the grout.
- Motion: the figure's tiles move together as a block (a head turn, a tail fan rising); the background, ground and border tiles never move. Camera locked.
- Stability line: "Strictly a mosaic of glass and stone tesserae in pale grout throughout, every tile crisp and distinct, the grid never dissolving, no painted or blended areas, stable tile colours, consistent tiling of the subject."
- Guards: no tiles changing size, shape or colour, no tiles appearing or disappearing, no re-tiling, no painted areas, no smooth gradients, no real feathers or fur, no photographic subject, no photorealism, no 3D rendering, no live-action look.
- Known failures: put "every tessera keeps exactly its size, its shape, its colour and its grout lines for the whole clip" in the identity block, not only the stability line; re-tiling every frame is the expected failure mode.
