The Gdrive documents A2-A5 show how to use GCS / mission planners in total simulation.

Use a GCS (ground control station) to run realistic flight plans on a sim FC. There are quite a few settings on a flight planner, and not all documented.

Note: Mission Planner (runs only on Windows) is used to do the initial configuration on a new drone. Therefore its logical to try to create the mission plan on MP.
