certifias extension (incl. Python-bundle-PyPI)
- impact several easyconfigs, especially those that include
- (Åke) question on Arrhenius
- want to use CUDA-enabled MPICH on GPU nodes
- we may need to re-allowed
gcccuda-based toolchain, or make MPICH+CUDA toolchain work - Mikael: can we use a
CUDAversionsuffix in the MPICH? - keeping CUDA outside the toolchain is probably better (see why we stopped using
gcccuda, fosscuda, etc.) - maybe worth setting up a dedicated call on this, with Alan involved as well?
- MPICH superiority may be exagerated a bit?
- MPICH doesn't really have an edge over OpenMPI w.r.t. intra-node MPI, at least when things are properly configured
- (Sam) bwrap framework PR #5214 was updated, ready for another look
- Alexander checked again, looked OK
- Bart:
--bwrapworks in HMNS scheme where software install dirs mirror HMNS- but can check if it still works on top of this PR
- (Jörg) Any experiences with https://github.com/HPE/torch-hammer?
- looks interesting, includes ReFrame stuff as well
- (Mikael) adding bioinformatics tools to EasyBuild, with goal to get them into EESSI as well
- see https://eessi.io/docs/adding_software/overview + https://eessi.io/docs/training-events/2026/webinar-series-2026Q2/#building-software-on-top-of-eessi-contributing-to-eessi
- no support yet for opening PRs to EESSI from CLI, but hope is to implement this at some point in the EESSI CLI tool, see also https://github.com/EESSI/eessi-cli
- (Åke) starting point for using EESSI bot locally?
- see README in https://github.com/EESSI/eessi-bot-software-layer/
- see also https://eessi.io/docs/bot/
- to get help, ask in
#software-layer-botchannel in EESSI Slack
- (Mikael) how is EESSI software overview generated?
- (Mikael) some sections in EB 5.0 docs still say "more info soon"
