Excavation turns digging into treasure hunting: every shovelful of dirt, sand or gravel has a chance to turn up something useful.

Earning XP

Dig naturally generated blocks with a shovel. Digging by hand gives nothing, and neither do blocks placed by players.

Super ability: Giga Drill Breaker

Right-click with a shovel to ready it, then dig. Unlocks at level 5.

• Your shovel gets +5 levels of Efficiency, so most blocks break almost instantly.
• Every block gives triple XP and gets three rolls for treasure.
• Lasts 2 seconds + 1 second per 5 levels (22 seconds at level 100), with a 240-second cooldown.

Archaeology	Level 1 (ranks at 1, 25, 35, 50, 65, 75, 85, 100)	Each block you dig has a chance to drop treasure. Treasures unlock at different levels, and each gives bonus XP. Higher ranks also give a better chance of bonus experience orbs.

Tips

• Save Giga Drill Breaker for big digging jobs: triple XP adds up fast.
• An Efficiency shovel breaks dirt and sand almost instantly.
