Maces

Category: Melee Combat · Command: /maces · Super ability: None

Maces adds bonus damage and slowing hits to Minecraft's heaviest weapon. You'll need a mace first, which means finding a Heavy Core in a trial chamber vault. Maces need Minecraft 1.21 or later.

Earning XP

Hit enemies with a mace. XP is the health the target lost × the mob's multiplier × 10. See Combat XP.

A smash attack that deals huge damage still only pays for the health the target actually had, and only the first 100 damage of a hit counts.

Abilities

Ability Unlocks What it does
Crush Level 10 (ranks at 10, 25, 75, 90) Extra damage on every hit: +1.5, +2.5, +3.5, +4.5
Cripple Level 5 (ranks at 5, 20, 40, 80) Chance on hit to slow the target: 10%, 15%, 20%, then 33%. Players get Slowness II for 1 second; mobs get Slowness III for 1.5 seconds. Doesn't stack on a target that's already slowed.
Limit Break Level 10 (a rank every 10 levels) Up to +10 damage against armored players. See Limit Break.

Crush and Cripple scale with your attack strength.

Tips

  • Cripple makes it hard for enemies to get away, which pairs well with the mace's smash attack.
  • Maces is in Melee Combat with Swords, Axes and Spears, so you can level other weapons at the same rate while you hunt for a Heavy Core.
