New Business

  • Update LSAP to include Islandora-Devops
  • Propose to submit ISLE to Islandora 7
  • Islandora-DevOps not covered under LSAP procedure, need to re-write language around that
  • Islandora Foundation been working with ISLE to make sure process aligns with I8 process
  • Contribution would include about dozen github repos and 10 docker hub repos and documentation
  • Propose would go into Islandora documentation, would stay up to date same as current Islandora documentation
  • Timing before end of Feb would be best, ISLE Mellon grant due by the end of Feb
  • Not much involved to modifying the LSAP
  • Danny -- DevOps maintainers should be allowed to maintain own workflow - will bring to another meeting
  • Q: how containers of ILSE 7 maintained?
    • Interim plan to recruit people, for now, Born Digital and David KC will maintain.
  • Q: How will this affect tags in the Repos? Will ISLE be leveraging tags?
    • Have been using tagging in 7 would work with Foundation to use appropriate tagging
  • Q: Are there any requirements around maintenance if DevOps made similar to Labs?
    • Must define a workflow (In LSAP)
  • Attendees voted to approve adding Dev Ops to LSAP similar to Labs.
  • Will follow up by email to CC to vote by the first week of January 2020

Interest Group Updates

  • Metadata IG (Rosie) -notes

    • Talked about metadata profiles - useful to have example for the community
    • Concerns around how providing an example can be perceived as prescriptive
    • IG needs to make sure mapping and fields accept whatever legacy metadata is being used.
  • IR interest group(Don) - notes

    • Trying to adjust time to encourage attendance
    • Went over IslandoraCon Usathon idea, I8 IR
    • Discussed modules proposed and issues blocking I8 solution
    • Talked about need for disc imaging solution for I7
  • ISLE Interest Group (Martha or Gavin)

    • Fundraising for ISLE 8 development was successful, working on writing grant
    • Create a series of surveys asking questions about experience with ISLE
    • working on LSAP process and anticipating security release for 1.41(?)
    • Kicking off phase III in January
  • Multi-tenancy Interest Group (Brandon)

    • Meeting in Jan
  • Islandora 8

    • Meeting about ISLE and I8
    • Still getting contributions pre holiday season
    • Dates for testing sprint for 1.1 release - looking at Jan 20

    • Fedora/Islandora - Arizona State in Feb, registrations coming in, half full

    • Janice - working on requirements analysis for migration of current D6 IR to Islandora 8
    • Brandon - experimenting with ISLE, trying to build a sandbox
    • Rosie - RDM project in last quarter, mini crunch to remove the dependency on Islandora defaults, rebuilding Islandora RDM defaults good example of how to customize Islandora
    • Danny - going thro documentation from QA Dan
    • Don - some migration success 7 to 8, using migration tools
    • Michael - migrating some Contend DM using spreadsheet module
    • David - wrapped up some Fed 6 sprints, got application working to demo create content in fedora
