  • Apologies:

Old Business

Interest Groups

  • Preservation Interest Group (Donald/Nick) - no big updates since the last meeting. External services working group is going to refocus toward use cases in the Fedora 4 context.
  • Archival interest group (Melissa) - Melissa is not here - Sara Allain has stepped down as convener.
  • Documentation interest group (Kirsta) - still meeting monthly. Planning a reorganization for the next release. Questions will go out to the list after internal consensus in the group is reached.
  • Fedora 4 Interest Group (Nick) - Danny and Nick were at Code4lib last week and managed to get a lot of stuff done. Cleaning documentation and proof of concept for lightening talk. Andrew Woods pulled a bunch of Hydra people together and there was a meeting/working lunch centred around data modelling. In the Hydra context there are many ways of modelling content. The last Hydraconnnect included groups working on a consistent data model, which was then passed to Nick and Danny. Review link to modelling documentation thus far here: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/FF/Fedora+Community+Data+Model Chef has been ditched as too difficult to maintain in the Fedora 4 context. Moved to Bash/Vagrant. Everything is in the Github repository. 1:00 p.m. Friday meeting next Friday. Mike D has been working on a 3-4 generic, command-line based migration utility between Fedora 3&4. Migration approach (possible) Drupal's event service (series of hooks) watches Fedora through Apache framework. Fedora hooked to watch folder full of foxml.
  • GIS Interest Group (Melissa or Donald) - nobody here from the meeting. Brief discussion about GIS - Islandora Mapping pulled out of core.

Islandora Camp updates

Melissa not here -

New Business

  • Component offer - Islandora Form Fieldpanel - Ashok Modi <-- will need some review according to the LSAP. Went through the major steps. Readme adheres to standards. Deferred to the next meeting with Melissa.

  • Islandora Labs offers -- LSAP now or later? We can keep it informal at the moment, and when it goes to the normal Github follow regular LSAP process. Should still be reviewed, but don't need entire process. Bring it up in committers.

  • CLA's - Community pull requests - do all contributors need CLA's? - to be discussed in the next agenda. We do our due diligence in that a major contribution requires CLA, and all component managers should be covered. Need to determine who has signed what.

  • Roundtable

David - right after the call we're designing and developing audit service for Fedora 4. Lots of discussion at Code4Lib. Hoping that Roadmap will put forward use cases and hoping that March/April development sprint will move this feature in Fedora 4 forward. Later this year, there will likely be a Fedora 4 training camp. Curriculum for 2-3 day event is being developed.

Kirsta - showed most recent interface development for Oral Histories - (Edward Garrett) http://larkpie.net/transcripts/node/1/transcript. Hoping for contribution next Fall back to foundation...
