Watching on the Web and Phone
From Flashback 0.8 you can sign in at flashbk.gg/account on a phone or any browser to watch your Cloud clips, catch up on your friends' clips, change who can see things, and react. Uploads still come from Flashback on Windows. Your own clips and their visibility work today; friends' clips and reactions arrive when profiles and friends open.
| To... | You need |
|---|---|
| Watch a clip someone shared by link | Nothing. Link clips play in any browser without signing in. |
| Watch your own Cloud clips, the feed and friends' clips | A Flashback Cloud account (no plan needed) |
| Upload | Flashback on Windows and a Cloud plan |
The feed, friends and profiles are open in the United States for now. Elsewhere, signing in on the web still gives you your own clips, their links and your account tools.
- Go to flashbk.gg/account and choose Sign in.
- Sign in with Discord (or Google, where offered). Use the same one you use in the app; Discord and Google sign-ins are separate accounts.
- If it's your first sign-in, confirm your date of birth for the age check and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, exactly as in the app.
A web session lasts up to 30 days. There are no passwords to remember.

The account pages are designed phone-first:
- One column on narrow screens, with no sideways scrolling.
- Videos play inline with a poster, instead of jumping to full screen.
- Large tap targets for every button.
- Quick profiles. A profile page loads its header picture and first clips straight away, and going Back to a profile or collection doesn't reload it.
- No JavaScript needed for any action. A small optional script on clip pages adds Copy link and, where your browser supports it, Share buttons and sends reactions without reloading the page; everything still works without it.
You don't need the Windows app to look after your account. In Settings on the web you can:
- Download my data: everything Flashback Cloud keeps about your account, as a JSON file.
- Sign out of all browsers and apps: ends every session, including the app's. You can sign in again anytime.
- Delete Cloud account: ends your plan now, takes your clips off the web, and deletes everything after seven days unless you sign in again and keep the account. You'll be asked to confirm it's you unless you signed in within the last few minutes. Clips on your PC aren't touched.
- See Your reports (the reports you've sent) and manage the people you've blocked.
See Cloud Account and Data for what each of these does.
Signing in on flashbk.gg sets one essential cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, plus a 10-minute cookie used only while you sign in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
Can I upload from my phone? Not in 0.8. Uploads come from Flashback on Windows. Your phone is for watching, sharing links, reacting and managing visibility.
Do I need a plan to watch on my phone? No. Watching your own clips, the feed and friends' clips needs a Cloud account, not a plan. If your plan has ended, your clips stay watchable until the removal date shown in the app.
My friend sent a Friends clip link and it says the page isn't available. Friends clips only open for the owner's friends while signed in. Sign in at flashbk.gg/account with the account your friend added.
Does watching count as a view? Views are counted on a clip's share page (flashbk.gg/c/...), at most once per visitor per clip per day. The owner's own views don't count.
