Function: formatSystemName()

formatSystemName(parts): string

Defined in: src/astro/system-name.ts:224

Format parts back into a system name. N1 (and its hyphen) is omitted when zero, matching the in-game rendering.

Parameters

parts

SystemNameParts

The system-name parts to render.

Returns

string

The system name, e.g. Synuefe EN-H d11-96.

Remarks

Letters and mass code are rendered from their numeric indices, so they always come out canonically cased. The regionName, however, is emitted as storedformatSystemName does not re-case it. Round-tripping a lower-cased name through parseSystemNameformatSystemName therefore keeps the region's original casing (synuefe EN-H d11-96); for a fully canonical name use canonicalizeSystemName or ProceduralSystem.fromName(...).name.
