Knitmark Support
Never lose your place in a knitting pattern. A band marks the row you're on, and one tap counts the row and moves the band.
Open your own PDF or photo pattern, fit the band to one row, and tap as you knit. Your patterns, counts and notes stay on your device.
Tap "Add a pattern" and choose a PDF, a photo, or a file. Drag the band onto the row you're knitting, then pull the tabs on its top and bottom edges until it covers exactly one row. From then on, tap anywhere on the counter to count a row; the band moves one row with it. You can also try the built-in sample chart first.
Charts are read from the bottom up, so the band climbs by default. For patterns read from the top down, open the ··· menu on the knitting screen and choose "Band moves down".
The band moves by its own height, so its height needs to match one row. Zoom in (pinch or double tap), then adjust the tabs on its edges until it fits one row exactly. You can drag the band back onto the right row at any time; the row number doesn't change when you do.
Use the undo button at the bottom right, or the − button to go back a row. Touch and hold the number to type the row you're on.
Turn on "Lock the band" in the ··· menu. The band still moves when you count; it just can't be dragged.
- Free: one project with one pattern, the row band, the row counter with undo, zoom, side-by-side layout in landscape
- Knitmark Pro (one-time purchase): unlimited projects and patterns, extra counters (repeats, increases, decreases), row reminders such as "decrease every 6 rows", the Lock Screen counter, drawing on the pattern, and the project record (yarn, needle size, notes, photo, time knitted). Buy once, keep forever — it is not a subscription
On the knitting screen, open the ··· menu and choose "Count on the Lock Screen" (Pro). A +1 button appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island and drives the same counter and band. If nothing appears, check that Live Activities are allowed for Knitmark in the Settings app.
Open Settings (the gear on the project list) and use "Restore purchase" to restore a purchase made with the same Apple Account.
Everything is stored on your device (there is no cloud sync). Keep iOS "iCloud Backup" enabled and Apple's system includes this app's data in your device backup, so it can be restored on a new device.
Deleting the app deletes the on-device data.
