Sosoro Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Sosoro is an iPhone app developed and provided by Hajime Nakamura as an individual. This page explains what the app does and does not collect.

In short: the app collects nothing. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting service, and it does not connect to any server of the developer's. Everything it does happens on your iPhone.

Your recipes, brew log and settings

The recipes you create, the entries in your brew log (beans, grind, temperature, notes, rating) and your settings are stored only on your iPhone.

  • They are never sent to the developer's servers (the app has no such server)
  • Deleting the app deletes this data

If iOS's own iCloud Backup is turned on, Apple's system may include the app's data in your device backup so that it can be restored on a new iPhone. This is an Apple feature governed by Apple's Privacy Policy; the developer cannot see the contents.

Live Activity

While a brew is running, the app can show the next pour on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. This is drawn by iOS on your iPhone from information the app hands to it locally. No push notification server is involved.

Camera, microphone, location, contacts

The app does not ask for or use any of these.

Purchases (In-App Purchase)

Some features are unlocked with a one-time purchase, Sosoro Pro (not a subscription). Payment is handled by Apple; the developer never receives your card number or other payment details. Whether Pro is unlocked is determined on your iPhone from App Store purchase information, with no developer server involved. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Tracking and advertising

The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and shows no ads.

Deleting your data

  • A log entry: swipe it to the left in the brew log
  • A recipe of your own: open it, tap Edit, then "Delete this recipe"
  • Everything: delete the app; all data stored on your iPhone by the app is removed

Because the developer holds none of your data, there is nothing to request or delete on the developer's side.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Sharing with third parties

No data is provided, shared or sold to any third party.
