Captain America
The First Avenger (3.8): the super-soldier the Super Soldier Serum makes, with the Vibranium Shield that blocks everything from the front, flies from his hand, bounces from foe to foe and comes back to him. He is faster, stronger and tougher than anyone, he rallies his friends, and, as in Avengers: Endgame, he is worthy of Mjolnir.

- How: use a Super Soldier Serum (in the lab of the Avengers Tower) and choose Captain America. You get a Vibranium Shield too.
- R Shield Throw, G Shield Slam, V Shield Charge, B Assemble, N Combat Combo. Sneak changes each of them: Ricochet Throw, Super-Soldier Leap, Shield Bash, Inspire, Flip Kick.
- Right-click with the shield: block. For him it stops everything from the front, explosions and beams too, at once, and sends arrows back.
- He doesn't fly: he runs, leaps and throws.
- Use a Super Soldier Serum and choose the Captain America card. Your old hero is replaced; if you have no Vibranium Shield, one goes into the hand that held the serum. You wake as "The Captain", The First Avenger.
- Or Choose a Hero in the Hero Creator (with a shield), or
/enhanced power set <player> captain_america(and a look:classic,stealthorown).
Losing it: the Mutant Cure, /enhanced power set <player> none, another serum choice, an Arc Reactor, Eternity's Love, being sacrificed at Vormir, or choosing another hero. The shield stays yours: it is an item, and it still blocks like a shield.
The super-soldier's Speed II, Strength II and Resistance I, the mod's way: they are part of his body, not potion effects, so they show no icons, milk can't take them away and they come back when he logs in.
- Speed II: 40% faster.
- Strength II: every blow +6, a little faster to swing and with more knockback.

Resistance I: every hit on him is 20% weaker (not the void or
/kill). - 26 health (13 hearts), a higher jump, and 4 more blocks of fall before it hurts.
- Worthy of Mjolnir (Endgame): he can lift a Mjolnir nobody owns and claim it, as Thor does. See Thor.
His HUD says it: "Super-soldier: Speed II · Strength II · Resistance I".
A round shield, red and silver rings round a blue centre with a white star, a leather strap behind. It is unbreakable, fire can't burn it, and it can't be crafted.
- Anyone can carry it and block with it like any shield.

For Captain America it is much more: while he holds it up (right-click), it blocks 100% of everything from the front: blows, arrows, explosions, beams and the mod's powers (only the void and
/killget through). It comes up at once (no wait, as a normal shield has), an axe never knocks it down, arrows, bolts, tridents, fireballs and the mod's shots bounce back toward whoever shot them, and a creature that hits it from the front is pushed back. Every block rings with a deep vibranium sound and a silver flash. - When he carries it but doesn't hold it, it hangs on his back (an elytra or a cape hides it).
Where it comes from:
- The serum's Captain America card, and Choose a Hero → Captain America, give one (if you have none).
- Cap's closet in the penthouse of the Avengers Tower: a Tech Case by the bed holds a Vibranium Shield, for Captain America only. Anyone else hears "This is Cap's shield." One for each Captain America.

With PvP off, his abilities don't hurt players. Everything he pushes at the edge of the Vormir Cliff counts as his push.

Press H to switch. See Looks. The shield is drawn in first and third person: held, raised, on his back and in flight.
Next to the usual panel: the shield ("Shield: in hand", "on your back", "flying (2 bounces left)" or "none"), the combo ("Combo 2/3"), "Charging!", "Slam!", Assemble's seconds ("Assembled: 14s"), and the super-soldier's line.
- He is worthy: he can lift Mjolnir. A server can take that away (
captain_america.worthy). - His throw, slam, charge and combo can't keep Wolverine or Deadpool down: their healing factor gets them up again.
- Magneto can't tear the Vibranium Shield from his hand: vibranium is not iron.
His abilities are in the Hero Creator (captain.shield_throw, captain.shield_slam, captain.shield_charge, captain.assemble, captain.combo, captain.body), and his five Sneak variants are cards of their own (captain.ricochet, captain.super_leap, captain.shield_bash, captain.inspire, captain.flip_kick). The Super-Soldier body makes a custom hero worthy of Mjolnir. Since 3.8.1 his Combat Combo and Flip Kick deal a damage of their own (cap_combo), so a custom hero's card strength scales them. A custom hero's Shield Throw needs a shield in hand: any shield flies and comes back, only the Vibranium Shield ricochets. See Heroes' Abilities. The ready-made hero is Captain America-like, and Captain America is a run style.
