Mutant School Lab
Under every Mutant School, deep below the old Cerebro cellar, the X-Men keep their lower levels (3.7): steel corridors with doors that split open on an X, Hank's medical bay with the Cure Station, the Weapon X lab where Wolverine and Deadpool are made, and Cerebro: a great round room where a telepath sees every mind in every world. The way down is a secret: two bookshelves in the Professor's study.

Find a school:
/locate structure enhanced:mutant_school. The lab is already there under it, old school or new. - The way in: in the Professor's study, right-click a bookshelf of the west wall north of the fireplace: two shelves swing open. Stand on the X behind them and hold Sneak for a second: the lift takes you down.
- Down there: the Cure Station (a Mutant Cure for a glass bottle), the Weapon X rack (an Adamantium Injection: Wolverine), the Weapon X Pod (Deadpool) and Cerebro (for Professor X and every telepath).
- The way out: stand on the X in the lobby and hold Sneak.
The lab is not part of the school's building: it is built under it while you play, the first time a player comes within 96 blocks of a school (every school, also those of worlds made before 3.7). It takes a couple of seconds, deep underground, while nobody stands where it goes; you hear a faint mechanical hum far below when it is ready. Nothing changes above ground except the study's secret entrance.
It is built so it never makes a hole in your world:
- Its outer wall is closed first, so caves, water and lava it cuts through stop at its wall and never pour in.
- No shaft is dug: the lift is a ride, not a tunnel. The old Cerebro cellar and the ground between the cellar and the lab are never touched.
- Every room is lit (no monsters spawn), and every door has a frame.
- In the study, the shelves and the lift's floor are put only where the school's own blocks still stand. If you built something there, the lab is built but the entrance waits for an operator (
/enhanced structure school_lab force).
The lab's blocks (the secret shelves, the lift's pads, the X-doors, the rack, the pod, the Cure Station and the Cerebro console) can't be broken in Survival. A player in Creative can, and the creative tab has them for builders.

- The shelves. In the Professor's study (the west wing: bookshelves, a fireplace, a desk and a chess table), the four bookshelves of the west wall just north of the fireplace look like any bookshelf. Right-click one and both columns swing open with a creak and a click. They close by themselves after 5 seconds, once nobody stands in the nook behind them.
- The hint. The study's lectern holds a book, The Professor's notes: "The lower levels are for X-Men only. The two shelves north of the fireplace know the way down: open them, stand on the X and hold Sneak. — C.X." Its second page lists what is below. (Only if the lectern was empty.)
-
Who may open them: everyone, unless the server says only the X-Men (
school_lab.openToAll): then only Professor X, Cyclops, Wolverine, the Phoenix, Magneto, Quicksilver, Deadpool and operators. Anyone else hears "The shelf does not move. Only the X-Men know the way."
Behind the shelves the floor is two elevator pads with an X on them. Stand on one and hold Sneak (1 second): steel doors close over your screen, a hum and a ding, and you stand on the pad in the lab's lobby, facing out. The same from the lobby takes you up (the shelves open for you). Let go of Sneak to ride again. Right-click a pad and it tells you how ("Stand on the X and hold Sneak to ride the lift.").
The lift takes only you: not a pet, and not while you ride a horse; mobs never ride it. If someone broke the study's pad in Creative, the lift up takes you outside the school's front door instead: you are never stuck.

The upper level:
- The lift lobby: the two pads on an iron dais, a big X in the black floor, the signs "Lower levels" and "Training wing".
- The training corridor: black floor with white lines, light strips, X-doors to the rooms.
- The medical bay: three white beds, brewing stands, a scanner arch of iron bars and sea lanterns, and Hank's Cure Station (below). Chest: potions of Healing and Regeneration, paper, bottles, honey, milk; a golden apple (10%), a Mutant Cure (30%).
- The briefing room: a round quartz table with a projector, eight chairs and a wall of blue screens.
- The lockers: steel lockers on both walls, benches, two chests: black and yellow leather armour, bread, a book; a spyglass (40%), an X-Men Trainee Banner (30%).
- A stair tunnel down to the lower level.
The lower level:
- The hall: Cerebro's great round X-door, and the signs "Cerebro" and "Weapon X".
- The Weapon X lab: the adamantium tank (a sealed glass vat of water in a steel frame, chains above, warning stripes round it), a steel gurney, consoles, the Weapon X rack and the Weapon X Pod. Chest: iron, Adamantium Shavings (iron nuggets), redstone, paper; netherite scrap (10%).
- Cerebro (below).
The X-doors slide open when a player comes within 2 blocks (with a hiss), and shut a second after the last one leaves (with a thud). Monsters and animals never open them.
Hank's white bench in the medical bay. Right-click it with a glass bottle: it fills it with one Mutant Cure (the bottle is used). Each player gets one every 60 seconds ("The station is still mixing. Come back in 42 seconds."). With anything else in your hand it tells you what the Cure does: "The Mutant Cure takes a power away for good. Bring a glass bottle to fill one."
The Mutant Cure (since 3.3.1) is an injector: hold right-click for 2 seconds and your power is gone for good, as an operator's /enhanced power set <player> none does. On another player: right-click him and hold, as an operator, or anyone while PvP is on. It can also be crafted (a glass bottle, a milk bucket, an echo shard and an iron nugget, any order). See Items and Crafting. A hero who wants to be Wolverine needs it first: the adamantium is refused to anyone who already has a power.

- The Weapon X rack holds three Adamantium Injections. Right-click it: one injection for each player from each rack ("You already took an injection from this rack."). With no power, hold one for 3 seconds and you are Wolverine.
- The Weapon X Pod: with no power, step inside and right-click it: the hatch shuts, 5 seconds of "treatment", and you come out Deadpool. Sneak or step out to stop. It works for everyone, again and again.
Through the round X-door: a sphere of light-grey panels 23 blocks across, ribbed with steel and dotted with lights. A walkway with railings runs from the door to a round platform in the middle, where the Cerebro console stands with the helmet on its stand. Under the walkway the sphere's bowl drops about 10 blocks; a ladder up through the platform's stem gets you out, so nobody is trapped.
At the console, Cerebro is amplified:
- Professor X standing within 4 blocks of the console presses N as usual, or any telepath (the Scarlet Witch, the Phoenix, Billy, a custom telepath) right-clicks the console. The helmet lifts off its stand onto your head and the room hums.
- For 30 seconds Cerebro finds every player in every dimension (not one under Magneto's Helmet), with no limit on how far: "Cerebro amplified: 5 minds in every world". Each one found is told "Cerebro has found you", as always.
- The room shows them: every mind becomes a star on the sphere in the direction where it is (in its hero's colour, pale white for a player with no power); the players of another world gather low on the sphere under that world's name ("The Nether"). The light bands of the sphere pulse. Everyone standing in the sphere sees the stars, not only the telepath.
- The Infinity Stones' sites: the nearest site of each stone that can be found in this world (a Hydra outpost for the Mind Stone, a Sanctum Sanctorum for the Time Stone, Avengers Tower for the Space Stone) is a diamond on the sphere in the stone's colour, and in a list: "Time Stone 810m".
- It ends after 30 seconds, when you walk away from the console, or when you right-click it again (the helmet goes back on its stand). Its cooldown is Cerebro's own, 60 seconds.
Everywhere else, Professor X's N is the same Cerebro as before (256 blocks, his own world, 10 seconds). Refused: one who is not a telepath ("Cerebro needs a telepath's mind."), one wearing Magneto's Helmet ("The helmet blocks Cerebro."), and while someone else wears the helmet ("Someone else is wearing Cerebro's helmet."). See Professor X.
-
/enhanced structure school_lab [radius]builds the lab of the nearest school now (within 128 blocks, or the radius you give, 16 to 256), or finishes one being built: "The lower lab is built. Its lift starts in the study at …". -
/enhanced structure school_lab forcealso puts the entrance in the study over a player's blocks. -
/enhanced structure school_lab statustells the school's lab: not begun, being built, built or blocked (and why), where both pads are, how it is turned, and, when built, its holes, stray water or lava and doors without a frame (all 0 in a whole lab).
Section [school_lab]: labs on or off (enabled; off, no new labs and no entrances, built ones stay), whether they are built by themselves (autoBuild; off, only the command builds one), how near a player must come (96), how fast it is built, who may open the shelves, how long Sneak is held on a pad, the lectern's book, injections per player per rack, and the Cure Station and its wait. Cerebro's console is in [professor_x]. See Server Configuration.
