Structures
Three places of the films are built into the world in 3.3, each with the item of a hero inside: a Hydra outpost, where Loki's Scepter is kept; Mjolnir's crater, where the hammer lies where it fell from the sky; and the Mutant School, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, with Professor X's wheelchair and Cyclops's glasses. In 3.5 a fourth joins them: the Bifrost sites, whose rune stone calls the Bifrost to Asgard for a player with no power. In 3.6 come the stone sites, the homes of the Infinity Stones: the Sanctum Sanctorum (the Time Stone), Avengers Tower (the Tesseract), the End tunnels (the Power Stone) and the Vormir Cliffs in the Nether (the Soul Stone), and every Hydra outpost gets its Hydra soldiers. In 3.7 every Mutant School gets the X-Men lower lab under it, and the forests get Agatha's Cottage, where Agatha, Nicky and Rio live. In 3.8 Avengers Tower gets its armoury: Iron Man's suits on their displays, the Arc Reactors, the Super Soldier Serum, Falcon's wings and Captain America's shield; and the End gets the Shrine of the Cosmic Entities, the way to Eternity.

- The structures of 3.3 and 3.5 are in the Overworld only, in the biomes listed below, and only on fairly level, dry ground (a site on a slope, or over water, is skipped). So they are rarer than their spacing alone says: in test worlds the nearest outpost was about 870 and 1,470 blocks from the spawn, and the nearest school about 2,000.
-
/locate structurefinds them (operators, or anyone in a world with cheats):/locate structure enhanced:hydra_outpost,/locate structure enhanced:mjolnir_crater,/locate structure enhanced:mutant_school(3.5)/locate structure enhanced:bifrost_site, and (3.6)enhanced:sanctum,enhanced:avengers_tower,enhanced:end_tunnel(in the End) andenhanced:vormir_cliff(in the Nether), and (3.7)enhanced:agatha_cottage, and (3.8)enhanced:eternity_shrine(in the End). The Stone Locator (3.7) points to the stone sites without a command. - Old worlds get them too: they generate in every new chunk of a world made before 3.3 (the Bifrost sites, before 3.5). Explore land you have not been to yet.
- Outposts and craters keep at least 6 chunks away from a school.

A small Hydra base behind a fence of posts and iron bars, with a gate between two lanterns and signs that say "HYDRA / Restricted Area / Keep Out!". Round a yard of gravel and stone stand a concrete bunker with blackstone pillars and a red band, Hydra banners (black, with a red skull and tentacles), a watchtower, a helipad, a truck, crates and sandbags. Inside: a barracks with three beds, a command room with consoles and a map table, and on the roof a control room with a radio mast and a dish. A stair goes down to the cellar: a lab with brewing stands, a cauldron and a glass containment tube, and the vault: behind iron bars and an iron door, a chest on a pedestal lit blue from below.
- The vault's chest always holds Loki's Scepter: exactly one in every outpost, with some gold, iron, emeralds, ender pearls, bottles o' enchanting, a diamond or amethyst.
- The other chests hold Hydra's supplies: food, arrows, a crossbow, an iron sword and chainmail in the barracks; potions, brewing ingredients and books in the lab; iron, gunpowder, TNT, a compass, a spyglass and maps in the supply crates.
- Hydra soldiers guard it (3.6): two riflemen at the gate, a sniper on the watchtower, patrols in the yard and round the fence, an enforcer in the cellar and an officer, who raises the alarm. They appear when you come within 64 blocks, in old outposts too, and come back three days after you beat them. The pillagers of 3.3 no longer spawn there.
- The radio room on the roof has the consoles that switch the alarm off (hold right-click on one for 3 seconds), and its red lamps light when the alarm sounds.
- The outposts are now the only place Loki's Scepter is found: it is no longer in End City, stronghold, bastion, Ancient City or woodland mansion chests. It still has no recipe, and an operator can still give it with
/give.
A place hit from the sky, as in New Mexico in Thor: a bowl with a radius of 9 to 12 blocks, 4 to 6 deep, not quite round, with a floor of burnt rock (blackstone, basalt, tuff, coal, a few glowing magma blocks in the middle), gravel and tuff towards the rim, lumps of rubble and two campfires still smoking. A rim of thrown-up earth (sand in deserts and badlands, coarse dirt and gravel elsewhere) and scorched streaks and a scorched ring lie round it; in sand some of the scorch is fused into glass.
- In the middle, on polished blackstone, lies Mjolnir, handle up, as a dropped Mjolnir lies: a Mjolnir nobody owns yet.
- The usual rules apply: the first worthy player who right-clicks it lifts it and claims it (and becomes Thor if they have no power); everyone else gets "It won't budge". Who is worthy is on Thor.
- Mjolnir can still be forged as before; the crater is a second way to get one.

Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters: a grey stone mansion with mossy and cracked stone, slate roofs and chimneys, and a crenellated tower over the door with the school's banner (black, with a golden ring and an X). Its grounds have hedges and flowers, a gravel drive round a fountain, a gate with the sign "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters", a basketball court and a garden with a pond.
Inside are the entrance hall (double height, a red carpet, a grand staircase, a chandelier), a dining table, a classroom with desks and a blackboard, the library gallery, two dormitories, and:
- The Professor's study (in the west wing: bookshelves, a fireplace, a desk and a chess table). Its chest always holds Professor X's Wheelchair, with books and maps.
- Scott Summers' room (red and blue, with ruby-red windows). Its chest always holds Cyclops's Ruby-Quartz Glasses.
- Cerebro, below the house: white light panels and a walkway to the console, and a chest of redstone, quartz and a diamond.
- The lower lab (3.7), far below the cellar: a secret the Professor's study keeps. Two of its bookshelves swing open onto a lift down to the X-Men's lower levels: the medical bay with the Cure Station, the Weapon X lab (where Wolverine and Deadpool are made) and the great sphere of the new Cerebro. Every school gets it, old ones too, when a player first comes near. See The X-Men lower lab.
A school built before 3.3.1 still has a hole round its front door (3.3.1 fixed the door for new schools). An operator can mend it in place: stand near the school and run /enhanced structure repair_school (3.5). It changes only the 76 blocks of the door and the tower that 3.3.1 changed, in the school's own stone (mossy and cracked bricks too, as in a new school); a block a player has changed there is left alone and counted. It finds the nearest school within 128 blocks (or the radius you give, 16 to 256), and you can run it again any time: it says when the school is whole. See Commands.
An operator can also build or check a school's lower lab: /enhanced structure school_lab (force, status), see The X-Men lower lab.

A Bifrost site (3.5) is a place where the Bifrost has touched the ground many times: a ring of standing stones round a circle of Bifrost runes burned into the earth, and in the middle the Bifrost Rune Stone, which can't be broken.
- Right-click the rune stone with no power, no key, nothing: you call "Heimdall! Open the Bifrost!", the Bifrost gathers round you for 3 seconds, and takes you, and everyone in its circle, to Heimdall's Observatory in Asgard.
- The stone then rests for 60 seconds (
asgard.runeStoneCooldown): "The stone is resting." If Asgard is closed on the server, its runes flicker and go dark. - Heimdall remembers that you came from this stone, and can send you back to it.
See Asgard.

Four new places hold the Infinity Stones (or their vessels). They generate in new chunks only, so in an old world explore land you have not been to. /locate structure gives the corner of the chunk where the site starts: a Sanctum or a tower stands round the middle of that chunk (8 blocks in from the corner), and an End tunnel's arch is on the edge of the island, up to 40 blocks away. A server can stop new ones with the stone_sites.* options; sites already built stay.
/locate structure enhanced:sanctum. The Time Stone. A brownstone house of three floors in the Overworld, with bricks and stone bands, a slate roof with dormers, two smoking chimneys, a green skylight, and a stoop with railings and two lamp posts. On its front, round and seven blocks across, the Window of Worlds: three small linked rings in white over yellow and light blue, in a blue rim.
- The cellar: the ward room: a circle of chiselled stone with gold and lapis, candles and glowstone (chest: candles, glowstone, lapis, amethyst).
- The ground floor: the entrance hall, double height, with a double stair of dark oak, a red runner and a chandelier; the relic hall, with the Cloak of Levitation in a glass case and relics in item frames (a clock, a compass, an Eye of Ender, amethyst...; chest: gold, clocks, compasses, ender pearls, and rarely an enchanted golden apple); the parlour.
- The first floor: the library, walls of bookshelves and lecterns (two chests: enchanted books, paper, ink, amethyst, a Sling Ring 30%, a Book of the Vishanti 15%); the meditation room with a mandala of orange and yellow carpet.
- The top floor: the Eye's shrine under the Window of Worlds: the Time Stone on its pedestal, under a hanging green light, in green glass. Right-click the pedestal to take it: only a god, the Scarlet Witch, the Phoenix or a sorcerer can.
- Inside, you hear a house of clocks with far-away chimes.
/locate structure enhanced:avengers_tower. The Tesseract. The tower from the films (3.6.1), 114 blocks high in the Overworld: a tall shard of dark blue-grey glass and steel with lit bands of windows. Near the top its side curves out in a long sweep of glass into a landing deck hanging out over the drop, a white line running down that curve to the ground. Over the deck a glass box carries a big glowing ring with an "A" on the tower's front, and a thin fin rises behind it to the top. AVENGERS TOWER is over the doors.
- Inside, a ladder runs up the core from the lobby to the roof. On every floor it opens onto a small landing with the room's door and its name over it; the iron doors open with the buttons beside them.
-
A room for each of the first six Avengers, and a few more:
- Hawkeye: an archery range with targets in a bank of hay, a shooting counter, bows and arrows on the wall, his suit on a stand (chest: arrows, iron, a bow, a crossbow, an iron sword).
- Black Widow: a training room with black mats and a red hourglass, punching bags, a dummy and a wall of weapons.
- Hulk: two floors high and reinforced, with iron bars inside the windows, posts of reinforced deepslate and smashed furniture all round a Hulk-size green chair.
- Thor: Asgardian gold, a throne at the end of a red runner, and Mjolnir lying on its stand (it stays there).
- Spider-Man (webs in the corners, a desk and a computer, the spider in a jar) and the Scarlet Witch (a red circle of candles, her crown on a stand).
- The lab (an iron workbench, brewing stands, a containment tube; chest: iron, redstone, gold, copper, sometimes diamonds, an iron chestplate, a shield, rarely a Mutant Cure). Since 3.8 the Super Soldier Serum waits on its workbench.
- Iron Man: his workshop, two floors high, with the desk with its screens, the benches, a robot arm and a hot rod (a lab chest too). Since 3.8 it is the armoury: the six suits on their displays and the Arc Reactors.
- The meeting room, high under the curving glass, with a round table.
- The penthouse with its bar (chest: food and drinks, a cake) and the door out to the deck. In its corner is Captain America's room: a closet two blocks square and two high, with a bed he can barely fit in and, since 3.8, his Vibranium Shield in a case.
- The observation room behind the ring, the tower's highest room. Since 3.8 Falcon's Exo-Wings are there.
- On the roof of the glass box, under the fin: Selvig's device, an iron frame round the Tesseract's cradle, where a glowing blue cube turns in the air. Right-click it with an empty hand and the Tesseract is yours; the cradle stays empty for good.
- An officer of the Hydra soldiers may drop Hydra Intel: a map to the nearest tower.
Iron Man's workshop and three other rooms now hold the Avengers' gear, each in a Suit Display or a glass Tech Case. Right-click one to take what it holds: one for each player from each display or case (a second click: "You already took the Mark 3 from this display."), so two brothers both get theirs, and a second tower has a second set. What a display or case shows stays on show. They can't be broken in Survival.
| Room | What is there |
|---|---|
| Iron Man's workshop (the door "IRON MAN workshop") | Along the north wall, five Suit Displays where the old armour stands were: the Mark 1, Mark 3, Mark 5, Mark 50 and Mark 85, west to east, each standing on a steel plinth with its name on a red sign above it, and light-blue glass between them. Over the Mark 3, the gantry: two robot arms that bolt the Mark 3 onto Iron Man when he suits up near it. South of the desk, in a bay of its own, the Hulkbuster on its display (drawn one and a half times as big). On Tony's desk, under the sign "Arc Reactors", two cases: the Arc Reactor (where the old beacon was) and the Nano Arc Reactor. See Iron Man. |
| The lab (the door "THE LAB") | On the iron workbench between the two brewing stands, a case with a blue vial: the Super Soldier Serum, the sign "Project Rebirth" on the bench's front. |
| Cap's closet (in the penthouse) | Where the old shield hung on the wall: a case with the Vibranium Shield, for Captain America only ("This is Cap's shield."). The sign "Cap's room (cosy)" is still there. See Captain America. |
| The observation deck (the highest room) | A case between two end rods with the Falcon Exo-Wings, and the sign "FALCON / Exo-Wings". |
| The lobby | The reception sign now also says "Iron Man's suits: in the workshop". |
A Suit Display is two blocks high: a steel mannequin on a plinth, with the suit on it, its eyes and reactor slowly glowing. A Tech Case is a glass case on a steel plinth: the item turns slowly inside, and the lid slides up when you take it. The creative tab has both, for builders: a Creative player sets what a builder's display or case shows by using a suit or an item on it.
Your old towers (built in 3.6.1 to 3.7) get the armoury too, by themselves: the first time a player comes within 96 blocks of one, its four rooms and the lobby sign are refitted, a few blocks a tick, in about half a second. Only blocks that are still the 3.6.1 tower's own are changed: a block you put there, or a stand you changed, is left as you made it (and counted). The five old armour stands of the workshop are taken away only if they still stand where they were with their old armour; the frame with the old shield in Cap's closet the same. A 3.6.0 tower (the first design, before 3.6.1) is left as it is.
An operator can do it at once, or check it: /enhanced structure refit_tower (the nearest tower within 96 blocks, or [radius] up to 512), refit_tower force (puts the blocks even where a player changed them; a player's stand or frame is never touched) and refit_tower status. A refit never forgets who took what. See Commands. A server can turn the refit off (avengers_tower.refit).
/locate structure enhanced:end_tunnel (in the End). The Power Stone. Rare, on the outer islands of the End, at least 1,000 blocks from the middle.
- On the edge of an island, a purpur arch faces the void, with a small plaza and a low wall along the drop.
- Behind it a tunnel winds left and right, 8 blocks down into the island: walls of end stone, ribs of obsidian and purpur every four blocks, end rods, and two ruined side rooms (chests: bones, nuggets, arrows, end rods).
- At its end the vault: obsidian and purpur, purple glass lit from behind, a ring of crying obsidian, a shulker on the ceiling, and on a dais under a beam of end rods the vault chest with the Orb (the Power Stone inside), ender pearls, chorus fruit, gold and an enchanted book. Each player finds the Orb once; after that (or in world mode once someone has it), a note: "The Orb is gone."
- A deep drone of the void hums in the tunnel.
/locate structure enhanced:vormir_cliff (in the Nether). The Soul Stone. A pinnacle of blackstone and basalt more than 70 blocks high, in a great cavern of a soul sand valley or the basalt deltas. A walled path climbs round it three times to the summit: the chasm, the cliff edge between two basalt pillars, the orange pool, a ring of soul lanterns, and the Stonekeeper. The chasm falls about 60 blocks to a pit of soul soil (chest: gold, soul lanterns, bones, rarely a totem of undying), with a tunnel out. The whole story is on Vormir.
The fifth home is not a structure: the Reality Stone floats on a pedestal in Odin's vault under Asgard's throne room, a red swirling orb (the Aether), placed when the vault opens after Hela's first defeat (so an Asgard of 3.5 gets it too). Hogun warns you: "Beside the spear sleeps the Aether, red as blood. Do not wake it."

/locate structure enhanced:agatha_cottage. A crooked two-storey cottage in the woods, with a purple door, a leaning chimney, a porch with rocking chairs and a picket fence: the home of Agatha Harkness, her son Nicky and Rio Vidal, the Green Witch, living happily together (the happy ending Eilon's mom asked for). Inside: the kitchen and the family table, the living room, three bedrooms and Agatha's study (its chest always holds the Darkhold and enchanted books), a cosy cellar with a working Witches' Road door, and at the back Rio's garden, a greenhouse and Señor Scratchy's hutch. The family talk to you, trade, give gifts and blessings, and ask you to find the rabbit when he runs off. See Agatha's Cottage.
/locate structure enhanced:eternity_shrine (in the End). A round plaza of end-stone bricks and purpur on the End's outer islands, with Eternity's altar on a dais in the middle, a seated statue of Eternity behind it, and round it on plinths the statues of Infinity, Death, the Living Tribunal, Galactus, Arishem the Celestial, Oblivion, Master Order and Lord Chaos, each with its sign; a lectern holds the book "The Cosmic Entities". Right-click the altar with a key of the Bifrost (Stormbreaker, Mjolnir, Hofund or your own Gungnir) and you are taken to Eternity's realm, for one wish. No chests. The whole story is on Eternity.
The structures are data: their sets (spacing, separation, salt), the biome tags that say where they may stand (enhanced:has_structure/hydra_outpost, mjolnir_crater, mutant_school, bifrost_site, and since 3.6 sanctum, avengers_tower, end_tunnel and vormir_cliff, and since 3.7 agatha_cottage, and since 3.8 eternity_shrine), the buildings themselves (structure templates) and their loot tables (enhanced:chests/hydra_outpost/vault, lab, barracks, supply; enhanced:chests/mutant_school/study, cyclops, cerebro, dormitory, library, kitchen) are all in the mod's data, so a data pack can make them rarer or more common, move them to other biomes, rebuild them or change what is in the chests. The structures of 3.3 have no server config options (only the rune stone's rest, asgard.runeStoneCooldown); the four stone sites can each be switched off for new chunks (stone_sites.sanctums, avengersTowers, endTunnels, vormirCliffs), and the Hydra soldiers have their own section, [hydra]. Since 3.7 the schools' lower labs are [school_lab] (they are built at run time, not by world generation), and the cottages [agatha_cottage] (agatha_cottage.enabled for new chunks, and the family, the rabbit and the Road door). Since 3.8 the shrines are eternity.enabled (new chunks), and the tower's armoury and its refit are [avengers_tower]. See Server Configuration.
