Looks

Looks

A look is one of a hero's outfits. Each look has its own skin, its own cape (a few have none) and its own colour for the hero's energy and magic. The abilities are the same in every look: a look changes how a hero appears, not what the hero can do. (The exceptions are Spider-Man, whose suits also differ in protection, and only the Iron Spider has his legs; and since 3.6 the Hulk, whose Bruce Banner has no powers and whose Brand New Day Hulk is bigger and hits harder.)

Vision, Tommy, Billy, Loki, Thor, the Phoenix, Spider-Man, Thanos, Ultron, Apocalypse, Agatha, Cyclops, Professor X, since 3.5 Heimdall, Odin and Hela, since 3.6 Doctor Strange and the Hulk, since 3.7 Wolverine and Deadpool, and since 3.8 Captain America, Red Hulk, Falcon and Love have several looks (Iron Man's look is his suit: for him H is the suit key, see Iron Man). A custom hero wears the look you give it in the Hero Creator: your own skin, any look of any hero, or a skin file of your own, and since 3.4 a cape, a hat, a mask, glowing eyes and an aura on top (a plain cape in any colour or a hero's cape, a witch's hat or a hero's helmet or crown, Cyclops's visor or a mask, eyes that glow, crackle or burn, an aura of energy, flames, sand, sparks or mist). Magneto, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have one suit each, which they put on with their helmet, crown or goggles.

Switching looks

• Press H (the Change Look key) for the next look. Sneak + H goes back to the previous one. The looks cycle round, in the order of the lists below.
• The new look's name appears above your hotbar ("Look: ..."). A hero with only one look is told "This hero has only one look".
• Operators can set a look with a command: /enhanced look <players> <look>, or straight when giving a power: /enhanced power set <players> <power> <look>. The id of each look is in the lists below. See Commands.
• The key can be rebound under Options, Controls, Enhanced Powers. See Controls.

Your own skin

Every look list of the newer heroes ends with Your own skin: the hero's powers and energy colours, in your own Minecraft skin. (Vision's two looks are both outfits.)

His long ash-blond hair is swept back from a bare forehead and falls down his back and in locks in front of his shoulders, with a full brown beard.
Love and Thunder, helmet	love_and_thunder_helmet	The same suit with the winged helmet Thor puts on for the fight at New Asgard: gold with blue stripes, wing panels on the sides, a bird's head over the brow and a face guard with a nose ridge. His eyes still show (and glow as the God of Thunder) and his long hair comes out below it.

Her eyes glow violet while she reads minds, senses them, takes one over or freezes the field, and burn gold while she charges the Phoenix Burst, in every look. The fire of the Burst stays gold and orange in the Brand New Day look too.

Spider-Man (page)

Look	Id	What it is
Homemade Suit (Homecoming) (default)	homemade	The suit Peter makes himself: a red knit mask with round goggles, a red hooded vest with a hand-painted black spider and a brass zipper pull, a blue-grey sweatshirt, fingerless gloves with brass web-shooters on the wrists, baggy sweatpants and red socks. No protection.
Iron Spider	iron_spider	Tony's nanotech suit: crimson mesh, big white lenses, black armoured bands from the shoulders into a gold hexagon on the chest, gold trim, and a gold circle on the back where four mechanical legs unfold. Armor 14. Magneto can lift it.
Brand New Day	brand_new_day	The suit Peter sews himself, redrawn in 3.5 to match the film: a red head, shoulders and chest covered in dark raised web lines, a long, slender black spider from the collar to below the chest (and a red one on the back), deep blue panels under the arms and down the flanks, blue legs, the inside of the arms blue, red gloves, red boots, a thin red belt, silver web-shooters on the outside of the forearms, and big white lenses in thick black frames. Armor 8. His webs are organic.
Your own skin	own	Spider-Man's powers in your own skin (the legs, the eyes and the webs still show).

The webs are always silver-white, in every look; the look gives the colour of the title and the look-change burst (the Iron Spider's is gold). In every suit the lenses go black with a dark red glint while the Black Eyes last, and in the Iron Spider they close to two red slits in Instant Kill. Spider-Man is the one hero whose looks differ in protection: it comes with the suit and works at once when you change it, even in the air.
