Commands

Fxbixn03 edited this page Oct 10, 2026 · 1 revision

All chat commands that BlockFactory adds, grouped by who can use them. Hytale's own commands (such as /op, /gamemode) are not listed here.

Options are written as --name=value. Flags without a value are written as --name. Square brackets mean the option is optional.

All BlockFactory commands act on the player who types them, so they only work in the game, not on the server console. The console answers "Sender must be a player".

Player commands

Every player can use these.

Command What it does
/team Opens the team window. See below and Teams and Raids.
/channel [--to=all|team] Without option: shows your chat channel. --to=team writes to your team only, --to=all back to everyone.
/recipes Opens the recipe browser.
/maplayers Opens the map layers: noise, power lines, nests, ruins and Goblin Hut range. Layers are switched for everyone in the world.
/blueprint --export=<name> Saves the blueprint of the Goblin Planner in your hand as a file in your team's library.
/blueprint --import=<name> Loads a blueprint file into the Goblin Planner in your hand.
/blueprint --list Lists the blueprint files of your team.
/armor [--remove] Shows the modules, energy and shield of the Modular Armor you wear. --remove takes the last module out.

/team options

Command What it does
/team --create=<name> Founds a team (name up to 24 characters). You leave your old team.
/team --invite=<player> Invites a player to your team.
/team --accept=<team> Accepts the invitation of a team. With only one invitation you can leave out the name.
/team --leave Leaves your team; you go back to the world team.
/team --kick=<player> Votes to kick a member. More than half of the other members must agree.
/team --rename=<name> Renames your team.
/team --color=#RRGGBB Sets the team colour.

Blueprint names may contain letters, digits, - and _ (up to 40 characters). The files are readable JSON and are stored on the server under universe/worlds/<world>/blockfactory/blueprints/, one folder per team. Server operators can copy files in there to share blueprints. See Goblin Planner.

Commands that need a permission

These are meant for players too, but in the current version they have no default permission group. Operators can use them. To let other players use them, grant the permission com.mutigeraffe.blockfactory.command.<command> (for example com.mutigeraffe.blockfactory.command.tips).

Command What it does
/tips [--off|--on] Turns the tutorial tips off or back on. Without option: shows whether they are on.
/craftqueue [--cancel|--all] Shows your handcrafting queue. --cancel cancels the job added last, --all every job; the ingredients come back.
/ancient [--buy=mining] After the Great Portal is open: shows your team's Ancient-Tech and the level of Ancient Mining. --buy=mining buys the next level (drills yield more). See Great Portal.

Operator and testing commands

These change the game state and are meant for testing. Operators only. They act on the world you are in and, where it applies, on your team.

Command What it does
/research Shows your team's research: completed researches, Gob and Gol points, scroll tier.
/research --complete=<number> Completes the research with this number, together with everything it requires.
/research --all Completes every research.
/research --points=<amount> Adds Gob points to your team's account.
/research --reset Forgets all research and points of your team.
/enemies Shows unrest, noise, the loudest chunk, destroyed nests and whether the world is peaceful.
/enemies --unrest=<0-100> Sets the unrest in percent.
/enemies --nestx=<x> --nestz=<z> [--loud] Founds a small nest at x, z. With --loud, it has already heard enough noise to send a group.
/enemies --noisex=<x> --noisez=<z> --noise=<amount> Makes this spot loud once.
/portalstage [--stage=0-4] Shows the Portal of the Ancient in a stage of its rebuilding: 0 ruin, 1 to 3 phases, 4 complete. No materials needed.
/buggy Places a Steam Buggy 3 blocks in front of you.
/beltfill [--radius=<blocks>] Fills the belts around you with the item in your hand (default radius 24, at most 128).
/beltview [--interval=<1-30>] [--scale=<0.1-2>] [--height=<-0.5-1.5>] [--radius=<blocks>] Changes how items on belts are shown: ticks between updates, item size, height above the belt, and the distance from a player within which items are shown.

Changes made with these commands are written to the server log.
