ATI has been providing accelerated drivers for linux. If DOUG could be used on this hardware we would have more options in terms of hardware and configurations.

frankie February 18, 2009, at 03:14 PM: If possible, it would be nice if we can get support for both ATI and NVIDIA without having #ifdef checks to do things depending on the vendor. The reason being that the NVIDIA driver on other platforms (such as the MAC) have some of the same issues as the ATI and therefore we would like to get the code as generic as possible.
