the ac3d loader (and possibly others) can sometimes take quite a while during processing. This can cause DOUG to appear to be locked up while it is in fact waiting on a model loader.

This is a request to update the ac3d loader to give an indication of activity so that users are not led to believe DOUG has locked up while loading large models.
