Custom Fields

Enhance app customization with user-configurable Custom Fields - ideal for adding notes, references, or extra data without altering app schemas.

Overview

Custom Fields functionality includes:

• Configuration via the Data Model Custom Fields screen
• Automatic integration into the UI via:
  • Custom Fields Input (forms)
  • Custom Fields Table Column Data (tables)

Configuration UI

Use the UI to create Custom Fields:

• Click the + button
• Select one or more data models
• Choose a field type
• Add a label and description

After creation, the field becomes immediately available via the GraphQL API. Supported field types are shown in the configuration dialog.

UI Integration

Custom Fields auto-populate in the Designer UI using pre-built elements:

• Input fields appear in forms
• Table columns display fields in tables

Additionally, the Group Label option allows customization of grouping into collapsible sections.

Future enhancements will include more field types, UI options, query sorting, and in-dialog support.

Data Flow Log Level Configuration

New Log Level control in the Data Flow Designer allows tailoring log verbosity for production vs. development.

• Set verbosity (e.g. Trace → Info) without redeployment
• Retain Debug logs for future use as needed

Default Level: Trace (highest verbosity), matching pre-release behavior.

Duration Field Type Improvements

Duration fields now support both ISO 8601 strings and integer milliseconds. This enables full compatibility with sorting, filtering, and aggregation.

Font Size Configuration

You can now define separate font sizes for labels and data in text-style inputs - perfect for mobile and wallboard displays.
