Helper module which provides a few functions to make working with credit card easier.

Functions:

  • truncate_card Replaces all digits (except first 4 and last 3) of a credit card number with X's.
  • card_number_clean - Strips all non-numeric characters from a credit card number. Useful for cleaning up input. e.g. a payment gateway might expect no spaces in the card number, but the user may enter spaces between each group of 4 digits.
  • card_number_valid - Validates a credit card number using the Luhn algorithm.
  • card_expiry_valid - Make sure that the card hasn't expired.

Hope this is useful to others.
