Training: Create an Enterprise User

What you'll learn: how to add a new user to your enterprise and set their access. You need: Administrator access type, enterprise admin application. Time: 5 minutes.

Steps

  1. Go to Left menu → Access Control → Enterprise Users. (Can't see it? Type "Enterprise Users" in the header Search.) Enterprise Users
  2. Click + in the toolbar. The Create User: Details dialog opens.
  3. Type the user's Email — this becomes their login and receives their setup link.
  4. Type First Name and Last Name (optional but recommended). Leave Active checked. Details step
  5. Click the orange → to go to step 2, Access Control.
  6. Pick an Identity Provider (Internal unless you use SSO) and an Access Type (e.g. Web Access).
  7. Pick a Home Tenant — the application the user lands in. To close an open dropdown, click elsewhere inside the dialog. Access step
  8. Leave Access Expires After Days of Inactivity at 90 unless your policy differs.
  9. Click the orange +. A confirmation tells you a password-setup email was sent — the link expires in 7 days. Success
  10. Click ✓ to close the confirmation, then click REFRESH on Enterprise Admin Home to see the USERS tile increase.

Check your work

Search the user's email in Access Control → Enterprise Users — the row shows Active ✓ with your chosen access type and home tenant.

Finish the job: open the home application's App Users screen to assign the user's roles — the home tenant grants access, roles are assigned in the application.
