Knowledge
The Knowledge tracker manages who knows what, and when they learn it — the backbone of mysteries and dramatic irony.

| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Fact | A secret or key piece of information |
| Reader learns at | The event at which the reader is let in on it |
| Reveal | A record that a specific character learned the fact at a specific event |
- Go to Knowledge.
- Record a fact — a secret, a hidden identity, a death nobody has reported yet.
- Mark when the reader learns it.
- Log reveals to individual characters at specific events.
PlotWeave suggests facts from your story. For example, from a character's death snapshot it will offer "Gandalf the Grey is dead · Ch. 17" as a fact worth tracking.
After one character learns a fact, Might also know looks for other characters who shared a later scene with a knower.
Accept a suggestion to add the likely reveal, or leave it untracked when the information was not actually shared. This is the fastest way to keep a secret's spread honest as the cast moves around.
Generate with AI adds facts in bulk. A fact's origin, readerLearnsAt, and each reveal reference existing events by title and existing characters by name — so add your timeline and cast first.
Anything that doesn't match is simply left unlinked; the fact is still created. A fact with a matching title is updated in place, with its reveals merged in, so re-running never duplicates.

Paired with the Continuity Checker, knowledge tracking catches a character acting on information they shouldn't have yet — the single hardest continuity error to spot by rereading.
In reading mode, a knowledge fact stays hidden until the point the reader is meant to learn it, and a fact's page shows what it is and who knows it without the controls that set the reveal.
