Blacksmithing

Blacksmithing is DaemoniaCraft's standard equipment-crafting system.

Players access it by visiting the Blacksmith.

Crafting Flow

The standard smithing process is:

  1. Choose an equipment category.
  2. Choose the specific form.
  3. Choose a fitting where that form supports fittings.
  4. Choose the equipment rank.
  5. Choose the material.
  6. Forge the item.

The exact material requirement, Essence Stone requirement, money cost and recommended Blacksmith level are shown in the Blacksmith menu before the attempt.

Crafting Resources

Current Blacksmith recipes use combinations of:

  • Vanilla crafting materials
  • Same-rank Essence Stones
  • Money ($)
  • Form-specific extra materials where required, such as String for bows

Fittings are menu choices; they are not separate fitting items that need to be carried.

Standard Categories

The current Blacksmith can create:

  • Swords
  • Axes
  • Daggers
  • Hammers
  • Polearms
  • Bows
  • Caster Weapons
  • Gauntlets
  • Armor
  • Shields
  • Offhands
  • Accessories

The individual forms, materials and fitting effects are documented on:

Blacksmith Level

Higher Blacksmith level improves two important parts of crafting:

  1. Success chance
  2. The quality of successful base-stat rolls

Recommended Levels

Equipment Rank Recommended Blacksmith Level
E 0
D 25
C 40
B 65
A 80
S 100

These are recommendations rather than hard locks.

A lower-level Blacksmith can attempt higher-rank equipment, but the failure risk is greater.

Crafting Failure

When forging fails, the crafting attempt consumes the required materials and money.

The equipment is only created on a successful forge.

Base-Stat Quality

A successful forge does not guarantee identical stats every time.

The resulting item receives rolled base stats, and the Blacksmith's profession level influences the quality of that roll.

This means two otherwise similar items can have different natural quality before enchanting or upgrading.

Materials

Material determines an additional identity beyond the item's normal base roll.

Broad examples include:

  • Mana
  • Defense
  • Health
  • Critical Strike Power
  • Dodge
  • Parry
  • Magical Might
  • Magical Mending
  • Weapon Damage

The exact material choices depend on the equipment category.

Fittings

Some equipment forms have an additional construction choice called a fitting.

Fittings apply a fixed trade-off to the finished item.

Examples include:

  • Lightweight vs Reinforced martial weapons
  • Shortened vs Extended polearms
  • Light Draw vs Heavy Draw bows
  • Light Frame vs Reinforced Frame shields
  • Single-Hand conversions on compatible heavy weapon forms

The relevant fitting tables are included directly on Weapons and Armor rather than split into separate wiki pages.

After Smithing

A forged item can later interact with:

Core sockets are rolled when eligible equipment is created. Their socket chances and all 25 Core effects are documented on Cores.
