Spawn Gates

Spawn Gates

Spawn Gates are special event Gates that appear around DaemoniaCraft's spawn and lead to activities outside the normal dungeon progression.

The current Spawn Gate activities are:

  • Parkour Gate
  • Mob Arena Gate
  • Silver Slime Gate

Parkour and Mob Arena are Event Gates. When one appears, the Hunters Association broadcasts a clickable [CLICK TO TELEPORT] message which uses /eventgate.

The Silver Slime Gate works differently: it appears somewhere around spawn and must be found and claimed.

Parkour Gate

The Parkour Gate is a purple Event Gate that launches a score-based parkour challenge.

Walk into the Gate to begin the run.

Gate Availability

When a Parkour Gate appears:

  • a server-wide message announces it;
  • /eventgate teleports you to the Event Gate area;
  • the Gate remains available for approximately 10 minutes.

How Parkour Works

The course is generated as you progress rather than being a fixed finite course.

Your score is the number of successful jumps.

Difficulty automatically increases with your score:

Score Difficulty Current Jump Distance
0–9 Easy 1-block gaps
10–29 Medium 1–2-block gaps
30–69 Hard 2–3-block gaps
70+ Expert 3–4-block gaps

A player who remains inactive for 60 seconds is removed from the parkour run.

Parkour Rewards

Current rewards are score-based:

Achievement Reward
Every 10-jump interval 1 Diamond
Every 25-jump interval 3 Unique Crate Keys
Beat the server record 3 Hunter Crate Keys

The parkour system also tracks a top-player leaderboard.

Mob Arena Gate

The Mob Arena Gate is an orange Event Gate that sends players into DaemoniaCraft's 150-wave Mob Arena.

Walk into the Gate to join the arena.

Gate Availability

When a Mob Arena Gate appears:

  • a server-wide message announces it;
  • /eventgate teleports you to the Event Gate area;
  • the Gate remains available for approximately 10 minutes.

Entering the Arena

The Mob Arena currently:

  • has no entry fee;
  • uses your own equipment and inventory;
  • automatically readies players;
  • begins after a 20-second start delay;
  • starts the first wave after a further 5 seconds;
  • has PvP disabled.

If you die during the run, you enter spectator mode.

Use:

/ma leave

to leave the arena.

When the arena is completed, players are automatically removed from the arena instance.

Wave Structure

The Mob Arena contains 150 waves.

Each set of 25 waves represents a higher combat rank:

Waves Rank
1–25 E Rank
26–50 D Rank
51–75 C Rank
76–100 B Rank
101–125 A Rank
126–150 S Rank

A boss appears every 5 waves.

Normal waves are scheduled every 20 seconds and can overlap if enemies from the previous normal wave remain.

Boss waves behave differently:

  • the previous normal wave must be cleared before the boss begins;
  • the boss must be defeated before the next wave begins.

This creates five themed encounters and five bosses within each 25-wave rank band.

Silver Slime Gate

The Silver Slime Gate is a rare silver-coloured Gate that appears at a random location around spawn.

Unlike the Parkour and Mob Arena Event Gates, it is not entered by walking through the main Event Gate location.

Finding and Claiming the Gate

When a Silver Slime Gate appears:

  • the server announces that it has spawned somewhere around spawn;
  • the Gate chooses from several possible spawn locations;
  • players must find it and right-click it to enter;
  • the first successful interaction claims the Gate and removes the entrance;
  • an unclaimed Gate remains available for approximately 90 seconds.

Silver Slimes

The Gate leads to an encounter built around Silver Slimes.

Silver Slimes do not behave like normal damage-sponge enemies.

They have only 4 Health, but normal direct damage is heavily suppressed and hits instead interact with a special chip mechanic.

When a Silver Slime is struck:

  • it can lose 1 Health through the chip mechanic;
  • a hit can also fail to chip any Health;
  • there is a 10% chance for the Silver Slime to flee when struck.

Silver Slimes are also immune to direct Fire, burning and lava damage.

The encounter therefore rewards repeatedly landing hits rather than trying to burst the Slime with one large attack.

Reward

Defeating a Silver Slime in this Gate currently awards:

2,500 Class EXP
