The Ceiling Viral Scanner is a single-block overhead detector for locations where a floor-standing gate is undesirable. It must remain attached to a sturdy underside and scans a narrow column extending about three blocks below itself.

Output

• Checks every 10 ticks.
• Emits redstone level 15 while a detectable infected living entity occupies the scan column.
• Does not disclose the strain.
• Does not detect a strain with the scanner_evasion mutation tag.

It is suitable for alarms, locked doors, quarantine lighting, and automation without side posts.
