In BioForge, re‑usable glassware (Culture Vials) and Syringes can become contaminated with dangerous infection strains.
Ethanol and Wipes are the only items that can safely remove that contamination without destroying the container.
- Ethanol – a laboratory‑grade solvent. Stackable up to 16.
- Wipes – disposable cleaning cloths. Stackable up to 64.
Both perform the same functions, but Wipes are cheaper and stack higher, making them ideal for field work.
| Target Item | Condition | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Dirty Culture Vial | Always | Vial becomes a clean Live Culture Vial |
| Syringe | Must be empty of blood | Infection strain is removed; syringe becomes safe |
| Syringe | Still contains blood | Action fails – message reminds you to empty the syringe first |
- Hold the Ethanol or Wipes in your main hand.
- Hold the dirty vial or empty syringe in your other hand.
- Right‑click - the item is cleaned, and one Ethanol/Wipe is consumed.
If the target is a syringe that still has blood, you will receive a chat warning:
“Syringe must be empty of blood first.”
