Overview

In BioForge, re‑usable glassware (Culture Vials) and Syringes can become contaminated with dangerous infection strains.
Ethanol and Wipes are the only items that can safely remove that contamination without destroying the container.

  • Ethanol – a laboratory‑grade solvent. Stackable up to 16.
  • Wipes – disposable cleaning cloths. Stackable up to 64.

Both perform the same functions, but Wipes are cheaper and stack higher, making them ideal for field work.

Cleaning Actions

Target Item Condition Result
Dirty Culture Vial Always Vial becomes a clean Live Culture Vial
Syringe Must be empty of blood Infection strain is removed; syringe becomes safe
Syringe Still contains blood Action fails – message reminds you to empty the syringe first

How to Use

  1. Hold the Ethanol or Wipes in your main hand.
  2. Hold the dirty vial or empty syringe in your other hand.
  3. Right‑click - the item is cleaned, and one Ethanol/Wipe is consumed.

If the target is a syringe that still has blood, you will receive a chat warning:
“Syringe must be empty of blood first.”
