Assistant Grammar and Spelling

Deutsch: Assistent Grammatik und Rechtschreibung

The "Grammar & Spelling" assistant checks a text for mistakes in grammar and spelling, and shows you each correction. It corrects only: it doesn't rephrase the text or improve its style.

How to use it

1. Open "Assistants" → "Grammar & Spelling".
2. Paste the text into "Your input to check", or load it with "Load text from file".
3. Choose the "Language". With "Do not specify the language", the assistant uses the language of the text. "Other" lets you enter any language under "Custom language".
4. Choose a provider, and click "Proofread".

The result

The assistant shows two things:

• A comparison of your text with the corrected one: inserted text, deleted text, and moved blocks are marked in color. A "Legend" explains the colors.
• The corrected text below it.

"Copy result" copies the corrected text, and "Send to ..." passes it on, for example, to Rewrite & Improve.

Options

In "Assistant: Grammar & Spelling Checker Options", "Preselect grammar & spell checker options?" lets you start with your preferred language and provider.

Tips

• Check the comparison before you use the corrected text: models occasionally correct something that was right.
• To also improve the style, use Rewrite & Improve.
