Deutsch: Assistent Texte zusammenfassen

The "Text Summarizer" shortens a long text to its main points. It can also change the language of the summary and make it easier or more technical to read.

How to use it

  1. Open "Assistants" → "Text Summarizer".
  2. Paste the text into "Your input". You can also load it from a file with "Use file content as input", or from a web page with "Read content from web?"; see Assistants.
  3. Choose the options you need:
    • "Target language": "Do not change the language" keeps the language of the text. "Other" lets you enter any language.
    • "Target complexity": from "Simple language, e.g., for children" to "Scientific language for experts in this field". With "Scientific language for experts from other fields (interdisciplinary)", you also enter "Your expertise", so that the summary suits your background.
    • "(Optional) Important Aspects": what the summary should focus on, for example, its length or certain topics.
  4. Choose a provider, and click "Summarize".

The result

The summary appears below the form. It uses only information from your text. Send it to a new chat to ask follow-up questions; see Assistants.

Options

In "Assistant: Text Summarizer Options", you can:

  • "Hide the web content reader?": for a simpler form.
  • "Preselect summarizer options?": start with your preferred target language, complexity, important aspects, web content reader, and content cleaner.

Tips

  • Very long texts may exceed what a model can handle at once. Choose a model with a large context window, or summarize the text in parts.
  • With a different target language, the Text Summarizer summarizes and translates in one step.
