Deutsch: Assistent Icon Finder

The "Icon Finder" helps you find an icon for a text, for example, for a slide. It doesn't show icons itself: it suggests search terms or icon names, which you then look up in an icon collection.

Finding an icon takes two steps. First, you need a concept for your text. Second, you need the search term under which the designers of a collection filed suitable icons. For a text about several departments, "departments" may find nothing useful, while "buildings" does. The model helps with both steps.

How to use it

  1. Open "Assistants" → "Icon Finder".
  2. Enter "Your context": a keyword, or a sentence from your text, for example, from the slide that needs the icon.
  3. Choose "Your icon source": "Generic", or one of Icons8, Flaticon, Font Awesome, Material Icons, Feather Icons, and Bootstrap Icons. "Open website" opens the chosen collection in your browser.
  4. Choose a provider, and click "Find Icon".

The result

A list of search terms in US English. For Font Awesome, Material Icons, Feather Icons, and Bootstrap Icons, the model suggests icon names in the format of that collection, for example, fa-… for Font Awesome or bi-… for Bootstrap Icons. Search for them on the website of the collection.

Options

In "Assistant: Icon Finder Options", "Preselect icon options?" lets you start with your icon source, a minimum confidence, and a provider.

Tips

  • The icon names come from what the model learned, so a suggested name may not exist in the current version of a collection. Then try the next one.
  • When you send a text from another assistant to this one, it lands in "Your context".
