Commands

Applies to Equivalent Legacy 1.1.0+ for Minecraft 1.21.1 and to the 26.2.0.37-beta, 26.2.0.45-beta and 26.2.0.57 lines. The 26.2.0.32-beta preview has its own commands, listed at the end.

Every command lives under /equivalent_legacy. Anyone can type the root command, but each sub-command needs operator level 2 (or the matching permission node, see below).

Player EMC

Command What it does
/equivalent_legacy emc get <player> Shows how much EMC the player has stored.
/equivalent_legacy emc add <player> <value> Adds EMC to the player. A negative value removes it instead.
/equivalent_legacy emc remove <player> <value> Removes EMC from the player. It fails if the player would go below 0.
/equivalent_legacy emc set <player> <value> Sets the player's EMC to an exact value.
/equivalent_legacy emc test <player> <value> Tells you whether the player has at least that much EMC.

<value> is a whole number and can be larger than a normal integer.

Transmutation knowledge

Command What it does
/equivalent_legacy knowledge learn <player> <item> Teaches the player an item, as if it had been burned in a Transmutation Table. The item must have an EMC value.
/equivalent_legacy knowledge unlearn <player> <item> Removes an item from the player's knowledge.
/equivalent_legacy knowledge test <player> <item> Tells you whether the player knows the item.
/equivalent_legacy knowledge clear <targets> Clears all knowledge of one or more players. Each player is told who cleared it.

Item EMC values

These commands write to config/equivalent_legacy/custom_emc.json. Changes apply after /reload or a restart.

Command What it does
/equivalent_legacy setemc <emc> [item or #tag] Sets a custom EMC value. Without an item it uses the item in your main hand.
/equivalent_legacy removeemc [item or #tag] Gives the item an EMC value of 0, so it can no longer be learned or transmuted.
/equivalent_legacy resetemc [item or #tag] Removes the custom value and goes back to the calculated one.

Other

Command What it does
/equivalent_legacy showbag <color> <player> Opens an online player's Alchemical Bag of that colour.
/equivalent_legacy showbag <color> <uuid> Opens the bag of an offline player, read from the world's player data.
/equivalent_legacy dumpmissingemc [skip_expected] Client command: lists every item without an EMC value in the game log. With true it skips items that are expected to have none (ores, raw materials, unbreakable blocks and similar).

Permission nodes

On servers with a permission plugin each sub-command has its own node. Without one, the operator level is used.

Node Default
equivalent_legacy.command everyone
equivalent_legacy.command.emc (and .add, .remove, .set, .test, .get) operators
equivalent_legacy.command.knowledge (and .learn, .unlearn, .test, .clear) operators
equivalent_legacy.command.set_emc, .remove_emc, .reset_emc operators
equivalent_legacy.command.show_bag operators

26.2.0.32-beta

The early preview registers a smaller set of commands, without permission nodes:

Command Who What it does
/equivalent_legacy emc everyone Shows your own EMC.
/equivalent_legacy emc <item> everyone Shows the EMC value of an item.
/equivalent_legacy emc give <player> <amount> operators Gives EMC to a player.
/equivalent_legacy knowledge [player] operators Shows the stored EMC of you or another player.
/equivalent_legacy transmute <block> <amount> level 1 World-transmutes up to <amount> blocks of that type around you.
/equivalent_legacy reload operators Reloads the mod configuration.
