SatMe-PC — Awards: the ones within reach

← SatMe-PC guide · October 2026

Where: workspace Ciel (key 1) › Agenda › Diplômes sub-tab (awards).

The awards the station can claim, and how far it is from each. Nothing is ever sent: SatMe prepares, you fill in the issuer's form yourself.

Where they come from

  • The standing awards, counted from the log: AMSAT Satellite Communicators Club, Oscar Achievement / Sexagesimal / Century, W4AMI, SA AMSAT, VUCC/r; ARRL VUCC Satellite, DXCC Satellite, WAS Satellite. Rules read on amsat.org and arrl.org, links on each card.
  • The ARISS SSTV award of each session: read on its page (ariss.pzk.org.pl/sstv, every 12 h at most), or derived from the ARISS calendar and your SSTV campaigns.
  • The certificates announced in the AMSAT News Service, AMSAT-UK and AMSAT-F feeds: a sentence promising an award to whoever receives a picture.

Everything is kept on the PC (diplomes-cache.json, diplomes.json): the list stays offline. AMSAT-F and the REF have no standing satellite award (checked 27/10/2026). In the demonstration: made-up awards only, nothing read online.

Add from a flyer

Ajouter depuis une affiche… (add from a flyer): a flyer's picture (read by tesseract on this PC, colours inverted and enlarged: white letters on a coloured band read better), or an announcement's pasted text. SatMe takes from it:

  • the issuer and its callsign, the event (« ARISS SSTV Series 34 »);
  • its dates (in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese);
  • the deadline (« Request deadline: October 30, 2026 », or « 48 hours after the end »);
  • the form's link (a bit.ly printed on the flyer; a QR code's is not read).

Everything is checked in the form before Ajouter le diplôme (add the award).

Matched with what the station has

  • An event award: the SSTV gallery's pictures received during the period (the right satellite, two hours' margin, corrected and fused versions left out), best marked first. An ARISS session's period widens to the ARISS calendar or the campaign overlapping it (two days at most).
  • A log award: locators, DXCC entities, states (Alaska and Hawaii by prefix, else the town noted « Dallas, TX »), stations or contacts by satellite — worked, not confirmed: the issuer checks the QSLs / LoTW.

Each one's state

« Obtenable — à demander avant le 30/10 » (obtainable — ask before 30/10), « En cours : 37/100 locators » (under way: 37/100 locators), upcoming, event on, asked on…, received on…, expired, no picture received during the event.

  • Marquer demandé (mark asked), Marquer reçu (mark received), Joindre le diplôme reçu… (attach the award received: its picture, kept in diplomes/), Masquer (hide); Retirer (remove) for those added by hand.
  • With web publishing ready: Envoyer le diplôme reçu (send the award received) sends its picture (or PDF) to your site, on that click only; and with the Diplômes box ticked under En direct, the awards followed and your progress go to your site as soon as they change (never the contacts counted, the pictures' names, the notes or your details).

Notices

As for the upcoming activities: a toast, « Dernières alertes », a count on the sub-tab. When an award becomes obtainable, when its deadline is N days away (3 by default), when a new event award is announced online; each once, each can be turned off.

Prepare the request

Préparer la demande (prepare the request): everything the form asks, to copy field by field or at once:

  • callsign and locator (settings), name and e-mail (the Pour les demandes card: never guessed, « à remplir » — to fill in — otherwise), the world region;
  • the chosen pictures (the best ticked), with their date, UTC time, frequency, mode and pass;
  • for a log award, the list of locators or entities.

Then Ouvrir le formulaire ↗ (open the form), Télécharger le pack (download the pack: the originals and their QSL, as the SSTV options' ARISS pack) and Marquer demandé.

Filling in other sites' forms automatically will come later, and only with your explicit consent.
