Bullet (v2.0.0+)

Bullet rows for solar, battery and car charge: each a track with grey ranges behind the value bar, a line at the target, and the value on the right

A value against its target, with its colour bands as ranges behind it. Each entity is a row: the name (with "target 70 kWh" under it when the entity has a target), a track from its min to max with the bands as ranges, the value bar, a line at the target and the value on the right. It draws from the entities' current values, so no history is involved.

Good for

Progress against a goal (today's solar against the plan, battery against the level you want), several in a compact list.

To use this style, set style: bullet (or pick Bullet under Comparisons in the editor's Style section). The chart options are in the editor's Chart section.

Sensible defaults

  • Ranges: grey shades that get deeper band by band.
  • The bar takes the colour of the band the value is in.

Options

ranges: shades # shades (default) or colours
  • ranges: colours draws the ranges in the bands' own colours, faint.
  • Each entity uses its own min and max, as the bar styles do, so with a negative min values below zero grow left of the zero point.
  • target can be a number or an entity, as for the other styles (Limits section in the editor). show.target: false hides the target line and text.

In the editor: Ranges behind the bar.

Missing values

Unavailable and missing entities keep their track but draw no bar or target, and say what is wrong where the value goes.

Tapping

Every row is the entity's own element, with tap_action, hold_action and double_tap_action (more-info by default), and a meter role for screen readers.

Everything else

Bars grow in like the bar styles. Animation is off when animate: false is set or the browser asks for reduced motion.

Layout: one chart for the whole card. Every shared option is described on the Options page.
