Installation

From the Marketplace

Chartdeck is in the Home Assistant Marketplace, so there is no repository to add:

  1. Go to Settings → Marketplace and search for Chartdeck.
  2. Choose Install, check the version, then Install again.
  3. Reload your browser (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R).

The Marketplace adds the dashboard resource for you. If you manage dashboard resources in YAML, the install dialog shows the resource line to add instead.

Home Assistant older than 2026.11

Before 2026.11 the Marketplace was a separate add-on called HACS. Open HACS, search for Chartdeck and choose Download. Upgrading Home Assistant moves your HACS installs into the Marketplace on its own.

If you added Chartdeck as a custom repository before it joined the default store, you can remove that entry under ⋮ → Custom repositories — your installed card is unaffected.

By hand

  1. Download chartdeck-card.js from the latest release.
  2. Copy it to <config>/www/.
  3. Settings → Dashboards → ⋮ → Resources → Add resource: URL /local/chartdeck-card.js, type JavaScript module.
  4. Reload your browser.

Requirements

Home Assistant 2025.1 or newer.

Updating

Update from the Marketplace (or HACS before 2026.11), then hard-refresh the browser so the new version loads instead of a cached one.

To try a pre-release, go to Settings → Devices & services → Marketplace, open Chartdeck, enable its Pre-release entity and turn the switch on. The version that loaded is printed in the browser console (F12) as CHARTDECK x.y.z.
