The 22nd DELPH-IN Summit will take place over July 27-31 2026, at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, in Bergen, Norway. It is co-located with the HPSG conference, August 3-4.
The program committee this year are Luís Morgado da Costa and Alexandre Rademaker (delphinsummit@gmail.com).
The program (subject to change) can be found here.
Zoom links are available inside the schedule.
Please register at the 2026 participants page. We will do our best to make it a hybrid event, please let us know if you intend to attend locally or virtually, as well as your availability (for scheduling purposes).
The first three plenary days will happen in Room C225, on the 2nd floor (Section C) of Western Norway University of Applied Sciences' Main Building (Google link). Enter the building via the main entrance (entrance A), take the big stairs one floor up, and then walk until you find the room. Or you can use MazeMap.
It will be summer holidays on campus, so you will need key cards in order to get in (and out). You will be provided with key cards when you arrive. Someone will be at the main entrance to open the door for you at the beginning of day one (Monday 27). If you arrive later, contact Petter Haugereid (phau@hvl.no), and he will come and open the door for you.
From Bergen Airport the light rail called 'Bybanen' goes to the city centre. Bybanen stops at the campus on Kronstad. (The stop is called Kronstad.) A ticket with Bybanen costs approximately 50 NOK (4.50 euros) and takes approximately 30 minutes to Kronstad and 45 minutes to the city centre. Bybanen is the best and cheapest alternative if you are arriving by plane. Tickets can be bought at every Bybanen-stop, and the card used to pay functions as the ticket. Notice that Bybanen will be partly closed for maintenance until July 26. If you arrive on Sunday the 26th, you can take Bybanen from the airport, but you will be transferred to a bus on the way to the city centre. From July 27, Bybanen will run as usual.
There are airport buses running between the airport and the city centre. These do not stop at the campus. A ticket with the airport bus costs approximately 150 NOK.
A taxi from Bergen Airport Flesland takes approximately 30 minutes to the campus at Kronstad, depending on traffic.
If you arrive by train or boat, you will need to go to the campus from the city centre. The easiest way to get to Campus Kronstad, is to take the light rail, 'Bybanen.' The campus has a stop with the same name. Both Bybanen-lines stop at campus Kronstad.
There are three hotels within walking distance from the campus:
Citybox Danmarksplass (1 km)
Prize by Radisson, Solheimsviken Bergen (1.2 km)
Moxy Bergen (1.4 km)
Apart from these three, there are lots of hotels in the city center, and access to the campus from the city center is easy with the Bybanen.
The excursion on Wednesday will be a bus trip to the island of Herdla, north-west of Bergen. Herdla is a nature reserve and is known for its rich birdlife. During the Second World War, there was an airfield on the island.
We will depart from the campus at 14:00. The bus trip takes approximately 45 minutes. Once there, there are several options:
i) You can walk past the old airfield to a small beach, observing the bird life. The walk takes about 30 minutes each way.
ii) You can inspect the World War 2 fortifications.
iii) You can play a game of disc golf (bring your own frisbee).
There will be refreshments.
We will stay at Herdla for about two hours. Afterwards, we will return to Bergen. It may rain, so bring appropriate clothing. We will be back in Bergen around 18:00.
The banquet on Thursday will be held at Fløirestauranten, located on the hillside above Bergen. It will start at 20:00.
The restaurant is at the upper station of the Fløibanen funicular, and we will take the funicular up to the restaurant together. We will meet at the lower station at 19:30.
Those who wish, may walk down after the meal. Otherwise, we will take the funicular down again.
The local organization is handled by Petter Haugereid (phau@hvl.no).
