Member of the EverAfters of HemsHollow. Endil EncoresEdge stays to summarise and take questions. When every story is over and the bows are done, Endil sits down on the edge of the stage, swings his legs, and goes over it all again for anyone who missed a bit, then answers every question the crowd can think of, however small or strange. What was the dragon's name? Did the baker ever find her hat? What happened to the goat? He is the eldest of the EverAfters and the one who, on that first morning in HemsHollow, quietly turned the wagon round. He will not be called the troupe's leader, and says the EverAfters do not have one. But it is Endil the others look to when the night is long and the Wall is grey.
The Encore. Every question asked of Endil is answered with another story, and every answer leaves just one more question behind. No one has ever left Endil's edge of the stage with nothing left to wonder about, and so everyone who sits with him comes back the next night, and the next, to ask it.
