LLM Suite
RulZ LLM Suite is a Windows desktop app for running large language models on your own computer. It keeps a library of your GGUF model files, loads them into your own llama.cpp build, and adds a chat interface, MCP tool calling and a local OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible API on top. It is modelled on LM Studio's feature set and open source under the MIT License.

Screenshots use demo content: made-up chats and header-only model files.
-
Manage models — point the app at a folder; it finds every
.gguf, reads its metadata, and pairs vision projectors and draft heads with the right model. → Model Library - Load models your way — context length, GPU offload and split, flash attention, KV-cache quantization, speculative decoding and more, with a memory estimate before you load. → Loading Models
- Chat — streaming replies, reasoning blocks, Markdown and code, image and file attachments, editing and branching, presets, and a context meter. → Chat
- Hand off long chats — when a chat nears the context limit, the model writes a summary and a new chat carries on from it. → Chat
- Use tools through MCP — connect MCP servers, approve each call, and let the model load only the tools it needs from large servers. → MCP Tools
- Serve a local API — OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible endpoints that load models on request and unload them when idle. → Local API Server
| Version | Highlights |
|---|---|
| 0.10.0 | New loads use a Q8_0 KV cache by default (about half the memory); the Save VRAM button switches an existing model's settings to it. New Keep vision projector on CPU option. Two loads started together take turns instead of leaving two models in memory; stopping a model makes sure its process ends. Smoother streaming and a faster model library. |
| 0.9.1 | Claude Code works with models whose chat templates only allow a system message at the start, such as Qwen 3.5-based ones: the API server moves its later system messages into the system prompt. |
| 0.9.0 | Each model has its own sampling defaults (temperature, top P and more) for programs using the API, with a switch to override what programs like Claude Code send. |
| 0.8.0 | Other programs can unload a model with POST /v1/models/{id}/unload to free its memory when they're done with it. |
| 0.7.0 | The API server answers model names you don't have with your loaded or default model, so Claude Code can use your local models with two settings. |
| 0.6.0 | Deleting a message also deletes the reply that answers it, and a pop-up offers Undo to put them back. |
| 0.5.0 | Send a message while the model is replying: Send now stops the reply, keeps what it had (thinking included) and carries on with your note; Send after reply queues the note until the reply ends. |
| 0.4.0 | New setting Settings → New chats → Keep reasoning open after the answer: the reasoning block stays open once the answer starts instead of folding away. Off by default. |
- Getting Started — install the app and load your first model.
-
Building the Engine — get a
llama-server.exebuild for your GPU. - Troubleshooting — the problems people actually hit, and their fixes.
All pages are listed in the sidebar. Keyboard Shortcuts and Settings and Data are reference pages; Development is for people building from source.
Download the latest installer from the Releases page. The app is young and moves quickly, so check the release notes when you update.
Planned next:
- Discover — search Hugging Face for GGUF models, pick a quantization that fits your GPUs, and download it into your models folder.
- RAG — chat with your documents using an embedding model.
- A command-line tool — load, unload and serve models from a terminal.
