Prerequisites

Some apps need other programs: Python, FFmpeg, Git, an NVIDIA GPU (with driver 580 or newer and an RTX 20-series card or newer, for the apps' CUDA 13 builds), or .NET Framework. (RulZ Image Crawler, for example, needs Python and an NVIDIA GPU with about 12 GB.) Each app's page lists what it needs and whether each one is found.

Automatic installs

When you install an app, any missing prerequisites it needs are installed first with winget, Windows' package manager. Python is installed with Add to PATH so the apps can find it.

When winget can't do it

Some things winget can't install, such as a GPU driver, or anything on a PC without winget. For those the launcher opens a step-by-step guide with a Check again button, and the app's install waits until the prerequisite is found.

Checking again re-reads PATH, so programs installed while the launcher is open are found without restarting it.
